Arrived at hotel at 9:30 p.m. and was told that my reservation for a no smoking king was gone. Only thing left was a Suite and that I would have to pay the upgrade if I wanted the room. Interesting how the hotel defines "Suite!"---a room with a king bed and a whirlpool.
The hotel told me this is what happens when "you book your reservation over the internet." My business travel agent booked this for me. I am a frequent traveller and stay in hotels roughly 200plus nights a year. When do I have the most problems?----when I'm booked at Choice Hotels. They are among the worst. Their staff is not empowered or is incapable of making decisions on their own. Go elsewhere and do yourself a favor. The Radisson on the west side is wonderful. The Sheraton on John Nolen Drive is also very nice. But the Comfort Inn is anything but!
