Bit far from everything. There is a hooters across the road and really good shoe shop just a block away, the jugs were good (of beer). Hotel was just a bit out dated, very plain, nothing too special - good if you're just looking for a place to crash.

When I checked into the handicapped room, the lobby staff were pleased to tell me that my room had a new bed. It was just what I needed after a day of trans-Atlantic travel, and I slept for nigh on 11 hours. The bathroom was great too, with a roll in shower that had a chair. The only thing missing... More

Traveling from Louisville Kentucky to Minneapolis, I decided to stay at the Econolodge to break up the 10 1/2 hour drive. I'm not very high maintenance when it comes to hotels, especially when I just want to place to stop and sleep, I just want a nice bed and shower, and they had both. The bathrooms are newly renovated, they... More

We stayed at the Econo Lodge Madison again as we came down for the big Gopher-Badger west division championship game. The hotel is not a high-end fancy place, but it's always clean, comfortable and is located near many good restaurants and the East Towne Mall. The management is always very helpful and accommodating. We can afford to stay at higher... More

A bit far from the Capital Square, but we needed a few rooms (at a reasonable price - I think we paid $79) for a small group of us for an overnight stay that weren't overpriced for a Saturday night (it was also homecoming weekend with a Badgers game). Everyone in our party liked their rooms. The rooms were all... More

The phone in my room didn't work and nothing would stay plugged into the outlets so I couldn't charge my cell phone. So I attempted to use the hotel alarm which of course didn't work so I overslept! Definitely not worth the money. I will never stay here again.

I was a bit concerned over what we might find after reading previous reviews, but our experience was better than expected. Check-in was pleasant and swift. We were told upon check-in that the carpeting and furnishings were new in our room and indeed they looked new, however we were mystified why, with new carpet and furniture, the walls would not... This hotel had ceiling lights (didn't find this often in America), and actually pretty decent wifi. However it had a dodgy little laundry living in a cupboard upstairs, there was no elevator, and to be honest the location wasn't really that good. You'd need a car if you wanted to go out and see Madison. We basically stayed overnight between... More

I have stayed here twice this summer, receiving a larger room the first time and a suite the second time. The first room was about average for an Econo Lodge, with older furniture and an adequate bed. The room could use updating and the side entrance to the hallway reeked of smoke. However, it worked for what I needed that... More

I pulled off of the highway due to zero visibility from a thunderstorm. This was the closest hotel to us. DISGUSTING!!! I took photos to back up all of my claims... The beds had hair all over the sheets, the toilet seat was broken and slid around when you sat on it, the bath tub had black mold growing, the... More
