For our first time in Madison, it was an absolutely amazing experience. We were in photographing a wedding at the Overture center which was within walking distance, in addition to really anything our little hearts desired! 1am pizza call at Ian's, a quench for java at Michealangelo's, breakfast at Old Fashioned's and a beautiful stroll around the Capitol with live... We enjoyed our stay at the Madison Concourse. We did not take full advantage of the property as we were off site most of the time. Check in was smooth. Location was great. The bed was very comfortable!

This is a classic downtown hotel, right on the central, mostly pedestrian concourse. The room was large and well furnished. My only concern was that they were perhaps overdoing it in terms of conservation because our towels although clean seemed kind of stale. Otherwise it was a good property.

I spent a VERY busy weekend in Madison. The days were hot and steamy and we were out on the town from 7:30am - at least 7pm. We walked ALL over and traveled to a local winery. The thought of going "home" at night and enjoying a great sleep in the beds at Madison Concourse was a WELCOME thought. These... More

We live in Madison and decided to check in to the hotel for a night for the holiday. We figured watching the fireworks from the top floor of the hotel after dining at our favorite restaurant downtown (Papavero) would be quite a treat. And so we did. We'd always wanted to stay at the Concourse for its location and great... More

Our checkin and room seemed to be ok. And indeed the room was although the coffee in the morning room machine was undrinkable. Clean bathroom, competitive rates. The girl at checkin however, gave me the wrong parking pass which created a lot of frustration and trouble when we were trying to leave. As well as the same checkin girl's acting... More

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding, and not impressed. Not a good value for your money. We stayed in the basic guest rooms. I had spent some time upstairs in the Governor's Club, which seemed so much nicer (and way more expensive). Cons: -Website misrepresentative. Pictures of rooms on the site are mostly of the governor's club rooms, which run... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights while in Madison for a wedding. As the hotel is in a prime location downtown, and as the nightly rates are above that of the chain hotels, I expected the rooms to be quite nice. Unfortunately the opposite was the case. The room (on the regular level not the Governor's club)... More

We stayed at the Concourse on the advice of a friend who lives in Madison. We wanted some place close to the Farmers Market and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was great and we enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub. We would definitely stay there again. The Governor's Club was also a bonus.

The Madison Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin, is a one-of-a-kind gem in this era of homogenized hotel and resort chains. My wife and I never miss an opportunity to spend a night or two at the Concourse, and we always choose to stay in the Governor's Club level. We are fortunate in that we only live about an hour from... More
