As everyone else has said, this is a great hotel to stay at if you're traveling to Madison for business or a conference. I received some of the best service I have ever experienced at the Doubletree Madison this week. I showed up, soaking wet from a rain storm and frustrated from several awful travel experiences earlier in the day. Great location near UW campus. Nicely remodeled property (a former Howard Johnson's). Staff service excellent. Only minor annoyance was the Amana energy efficiency thermostat system which did not allow the fan to run continuously.
