I am rarely disappointed by locations highly regarded on Trip Advisor, but this was certainly one of them. Perhaps it's because I was expecting a true B&B and this felt more like a motel with a family style breakfast area. Upon arrival, the lady that checked us in was not super friendly or welcoming, in that vein, the owners never... More

Thank you for taking the time to review and provide us with your feedback. We are sorry you feel disappointed. You were here during June when we averaged 25 to 35 guests each morning. As a small business and desiring to keep our rates low for you, we undertake most chores ourselves. We do fully understand that we need to... More

Kelly Place is the place to go for peace, quiet and a beautiful setting but still within an easy drive to Cortez for dining/shopping, etc. The duplex room we had was cozy, clean and comfortable with some unique features, e.g., a water evaporator cooling system, more than adequate even in 90+ degree weather. Would be difficult to prepare meals in... More

I visited the Cortez area to enjoy the ancestral puebloan culture. Kelly’s Place is a pretty convenient location. While it is a much longer drive to Mesa Verde and to Dolores, it was much closer to Hovenweep than staying in Cortez. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed a hiking trail from the front door of the cabin. There... More

We used Kelly Place for a 2 night stop over with our Cruise America rental RV. It was great. While it cost about 25 dollars more than the basic RV parking lot, we easily ate that much at the delicious breakfasts and the afternoon iced tea and snacks. We had a good view of canyons, were seconds away from ancient... More

Thank you for the positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Kelly Place. We have only 3 RV hookup sites, so you are not packed in as in some of the usual RV campgrounds. We strive to make the environment pleasant and enjoyable for all of our guests. More

We reserved one night here during out honeymoon. 45$ a night for camping. Yes camping?! We arrived early so we could pitch our tent before nightfall and then enjoy the rest of our day outside of the Kelly Inn. Keep in mind this place is a looong drive through curvy semi-mountainous roads and hard to find. the women running the... More

I first stayed at Kelly Place over 20 years ago and vowed I would return. My family, including husband and our 11, 10, and 8 years olds, spent a few days at Kelly Place this summer and it was a magical as I remember. If you're interested in archeology, this place is amazing. There are ruins on the property that... More

I am really happy overall with choosing to stay at Kelly Place. The grounds and main building are beautiful. The night sky viewed from the property is amazing. It is cool that you can explore ruins on the property, and I felt a little weird about how we were just able to wander into the kivas, which are considered sacred... More

Kelly Place is on the road that goes to Hovenweep, and the property contains multiple archeological sites. It's quiet and pleasant, and although the inn and the accommodations tend toward being rustic, they are clean and everything works. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were full, and the sheets were soft. The swamp cooler really did cool the room. And... More

I stay in this bad and breakfast in August 2013. The places is amazing because you stay in the nature. The breakfast is good and fresh. The rooms inside the lobbyhome are to little and the badrooms are very bad. The rooms are not very clean and the hotel needs a very renew.

Kelly Place is in SW Colorado near Mesa Verde. On the property are six or seven archeological sites, one of which has been restored including a Kiva that one can visit. Artifacts that have been found on the property are stored in a multi-shelved glass case by the kitchen. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, cooled with moisture-providing swamp coolers.... More
