What a lovely experience. The house is a gem of a restoration with tastefully appointments throughout. And that's for starters. We enjoyed our stay in the green room - excellent bed and shower. We walked through the lovely garden and sat on the second floor porch as well as the sun room. We wanted to experience as many of the... More

We had a delightful time at this beautiful historic home. The host, Bill, was very pleasant and informative. We stayed inThe Presidents Room. It was spacious and beautifully furnished. The home was impeccably kept and furnished. The price for the stay was very, very reasonable. Breakfast was a real treat. Fresh fruit in cream, oj, French toast with maple syrup,... More

After an internet search, I booked a room at the last minute the night before, called them on the phone at around 9.30PM apologizing for the late call. We had no idea what kind of town Chillicothe was, it was just halfway on our two day trip from DC to Indiana. Turned out this is a wonderful town with tons... More

Taking Route 50 from Washington DC to Texas and stopped here before visiting the various mounds in the area. We stayed in the President's suite which was wonderful. Bed was so comfortable we almost missed 9 am breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic and we had a wonderful visit with owner. Wish we could have stayed longer. The home has been restored... More

Great place even if you don't like Nixon. Owner has a passion for history and good service. Formal breakfast was delicious. Other guests all had a story to tell. If you play the piano, you will enjoy the masterpiece that sits in the front room. Even though we didn't play it, one of the other guests shared his passion and... More

At first I was skeptical of staying at a b&b. (I've never stayed at one before) For Valentines Day I wanted to plan a "staycation" for my fiance and I for Valentine's Day in our hometown. Planning my reservation was simple and easy. The host was very flexible about me paying with cash, most places won't accept it, or find... More

This small, historic inn was built in the 1840s and has been meticulously restored into a beautiful bed and breakfast. The rooms are gorgeously decorated and clean. The host made a delicious full breakfast as well. He was quite nice and shared a lot of history about the place, once he relaxed a bit. He seemed to take a bit... More

What a great place. What a great host. The best B&B experience we have ever had. If you enjoy historic mansions, then this place is for you. A beautiful Greek revival with the correct embellishments, presented much as it would have been in the 1850s. Mr Hirsch is the consummate host, no nonsense, and little pretense. He has a wonderful... This is a special, special B&B. Bill is meticulous in the care of his home, his cooking and his hospitality. The governor's room was spacious, elegant and comfortable. Many B&B's have a stuffy, cramped feeling...not this one. The breakfast was fantastic and Bill had great recommendations for Chillicothe as well as our next stop, Columbus. Delightful stay...our favorite B&B of... More
