We were very pleased with the staff and the buffet. The room is kinda small compare to other 5 star hotels, but the bed was very comfortable, cleaned to perfection. The hot spring was really fantastic! Not very quiet, can't blame the Hotel because it is a really good place to go on holidays. Worthed every penny, would love to... More

Location: Not near from the station. But it is normal for the hotel with hot spring to be away from town center or train station. I took rent-a-car so it was ok to get the place. It's walking distance to the waterfall and catholic church. Facilities and services: Gym with enough equipment, table tennis (typical hot spring inn), karaoke room,... More

We visited this area for their famous natural hot spring. The room is in decent size with our own hot spring tub. I don't border to use it as I prefer the open space hot spring on the lower level. The facility is very clean and nicely decor. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The men's indoor hot spring... More

We did not stay at the hotel, but visited for a day. The buffet was great and had a wide variety of items from local cuisine to sushi to European and western dishes. Lots of fruit and full salad bar too. I saw some kids with mini burgers and fries too. After brunch we went to the outdoor spa; there... More

We stayed for two nights at Royal Chiao Hsi and had the best time! 1. Check in was quick and painless, finished with a staff dressed in Japanese kimono taking us to the room, introduced the room facilities and then made a pot of tea for us! It was a hint of what to expect for the rest of the... More

The best way to ascertain a hotel's standard of service is when they are fully booked. I have heard much about YiLan area from my Taiwanese friends and I managed to squeeze some time over Christmas week and booked a three night stay at Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi. I found the hotel online and booked directly with the hotel reception.... More

So, we were not able to stay at the hotel. They were fully booked when we contacted them two weeks before our visit (also, it was around Jan. 1, but not exactly over New Year's Eve). We instead did a package for the buffet lunch and private "aroma" bath house just to spend the day. The staff was super nice!... More

This was my first ever visit to the Northeastern side of Taiwan and i was booked at this spa resort along with a big team of colleagues for a company event.
