Nouwr Eliya is very nice place to visit . We stayed for three days with family in Galway forest hotel from 15 to 17 August 2014, My review to this hotel is missing some facilities and service - hot water is difficult to get in third floor،in the place like Nouwr Eliya you really need hot water for shower -breakfast... Nice hotel with decent little rooms. Clean bathrooms .Entire thing feels compact. No garden( don't make it an issue since anyway you are going out to enjoy the large natural habitat of nuwaraeliya ). Food is great.could not try the bar. Looks ok though. Staff friendly and service is good.

I have stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The stay was good. I have the window view of a small plantation. It was great to see a plantation when you open window. There is no air conditioned in the room because the weather itself in nurawaya was already cold. Was 17degrees at night. The bathroom is very near to... More

We stayed as a large group. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast plentiful. The swimming pool was well serviced. The downside to this stay was the open air party that was held in the middle of the grounds, with beating drums until after midnight - very off putting. When I called reception, there was no indication that it would... More

Nice location, out of the city noise. But dont expect a nice view. Service is good. they gave us a warm welcome. Rooms was average, not too big not too small. but heater is not good. then we asked them to replace it which tool several hours. Food is normal. I was expecting something spicy in that cold weather. But... More

This is a simple but comfortable lodge hotel and, having read through some of the earlier reports, must have had some renovations and a clean-up. We found it to be clean and the room was a good size, with everything we needed except a kettle and a few tea bags. It is not that far away from the town and... More

We were booked into this hotel as part of a packaged tour, originating from Chennai, India. It's a quaint lodge, with a decent number of rooms. The rooms are small, but cozy. Since this sits atop a tea estate, and weather is around 15 degs on average, the rooms have no air-conditioning. They have decent wifi in the lobby area... More

This is another example of an unrefurbished Sri Lankan Hotel. Although the room was spacious, the cupboard didn't close, the lamp didn't work, the shower was odd, the windows hadn't been cleaned. And breakfast was pretty ordinary as well.
