At AUD378 per night this was a second rate hotel at King's ransom prices. I am trying to think of positives that would justify the price but just cannot come up with any. The staff were pleasant, the setting is ok, bearing in mind the scenery is available all the way up the mountain in the tea country. However, our... More

Yes you will need your family fortunes to stay here. Although something different and unique, December did not play into our favour and the constant mist/ rain robbed us of our views, everything else average. Plan carefully. However, buildup to Christmas amazing and charming!

We stayed here for one night in November and overall were not disappointed. It's a long long twisty drive to get here so not for the travel sick amongst you! Scenery en route is simply stunning and so so green! Yes I know it's the tea plantation area but until you actually see the views you can't appreciate the beauty.... More

This hotel was the most expensive of our trip and whilst it is interesting none of the interest stems from items which cost the hotelier any extra to provide, I doubt if there are any repeat visits. That is the negative out of the way on the positive side the location at 6140 ft above sea level is stunning, set in... More

I was super excited to stay at this hotel specially!! Unfortunately, I got shocked! the staff was really really rude. Although we were at our honeymoon!!! The price is highest in Nuwara Eiyla which I really regret each pence I paid for this hotel!!

This converted tea factory has beautiful views of the tea country and it is well worth waking at dawn for the sunrise which is just stunning.the rooms are lovely and the cool air very refreshing after the lowland heat and humidity. We enjoyed tea plucking and watching the tea processing in their tea factory as well as being dressed in... More

Recently stayed here in a room on the executive floor. There isn't that much more I can say about this hotel that hasn't yet been said. Rooms were small but quaint and cosy with stunning views of the surrounding tea plantations and factory. Fantastic walks around the area and a plethora of wildlife, especially native birds. An extra bed in... More

We stayed at this wonderful hotel last week as part of our tour round Sri Lanka on our honeymoon. The area is very peaceful, with the hotel sat at the top of the tea plantation, with stunning views all around. We arrived when the weather was very misty which gave it a mysterious feel, and were given a very warm... More

I was very much looking forward to our stay in the Tea Factory, and had read much about the building's history and impressive renovation. However, we were ultimately disappointed by the experience - not because of the quality of accommodation, which was perfectly fine; or the food, which was also fine - but by the heavy handed nature of the... we really enjoyed our stay at the Heritance tea factory hotel. The old tea factory feel was really good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet food could be better as it was more western food than traditional sri-lankan food but then again we were there during xmas so it could be more of a xmas feel.
