A wonderful hotel with spectacular views. The architecture is just tremendous and the hotel designers are due great praise for the way that they maintained the whole historic aspect of the original building. Staff were really excellent and dining experience was a real pleasure .. one of the best hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka

Internet connectivity is atrocious. When I asked for help a reception staff managed to wipe off all saved networks from my phone, a personal catastrophe. The hotel has some industrial charme which is highly overpriced. Due to the remote location you can't escape and get ripped off blatantly. Never again!

I have never been to a hotel like this before. It was like being in a museum! Particularly when they actually ran the old engine that used to power the factory, which is in beautiful working order. The staff were wonderful, all really into the spirit and character of the old tea factory, and very friendly and welcoming. The communal... More

We arrived for just one night while heading to Yala. This place has beautiful scenery high in the mountains but left us a little disappointed with the facilities. There is really not much to do other than sit in the bar. Dinner does not start until 730 so we ordered cocktails. No straws available. Try drinking a Pina Colada without... More

Such an interesting concept for a hotel. An old tea factory now turned into a hotel but retaining many original features. The reception you get is really special and a bit different. All the reception rooms, bar, restaurant etc were gorgeous. On first impression the rooms are great but then you realise the bathrooms are a little tired and could... More

Nuwara Eliya is a very beautiful place and nestled out there in between tea gardens is very beautiful Heritance tea factory. It is a boutique hotel with one of the best service staff I have experienced. The staff is always smiling and more than willing to help us. The Spa is also good with the views from the Spa room... This place is quite something. They have done everything so perfectly to turn a beautiful factory into a sumptuous hotel, whilst keeping the fascination of a bygone era. And their tables full of awards are well deserved. The building itself is incredible and fascinating. It is on the crest of a hill nestled amongst higher ones in the tea fields,... More

From the moment we arrived we felt special and the service was very friendly and personal. The structure is so impressive and historically interesting. One of our friends had stayed at this hotel twice before and the hotel didn't fail to fulfil what was promised. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. There are activities available such as guided nature walks,... More
