We agree with other reviews that the building is quite unique, however other parts are sub-par for the price and compared to similar hotels in Sri Lanka. The exchange rate for room charge items is the worst we have seen in Sri Lanka the place is too commercialised - everything is a money grab. For example charging 250 rupee per... More

The hotel is at a considerable distance from the main city. Hence, if the plan is to frequent the city delights the the hotel is not for you. However, if you do not mind a secluded hotel amongst a tea garden high up above the clouds then you would enjoy the stay at the hotel. However, the hotel is pricey... More

After a long drive up a narrow road we arrived at the tea factory. It is remote and almost 7000 feet up. The hotel has a quirky charm with many old features remaining and similar to a heritage museum. The rooms are small and a little old, but nicely laid out. A room heater is provided to keep you warm.... More

This hotel is stunning with beautiful original features and wonderful helpful staff, its quite a windy drive to get there and there was rainy season so didn't see the views until the cloud lifted the next day (and unfortunately then it was only for a short while). Food was quite expensive for what it was but breakfast was nice too.

At AUD378 per night this was a second rate hotel at King's ransom prices. I am trying to think of positives that would justify the price but just cannot come up with any. The staff were pleasant, the setting is ok, bearing in mind the scenery is available all the way up the mountain in the tea country. However, our... More

Yes you will need your family fortunes to stay here. Although something different and unique, December did not play into our favour and the constant mist/ rain robbed us of our views, everything else average. Plan carefully. However, buildup to Christmas amazing and charming!

We stayed here for one night in November and overall were not disappointed. It's a long long twisty drive to get here so not for the travel sick amongst you! Scenery en route is simply stunning and so so green! Yes I know it's the tea plantation area but until you actually see the views you can't appreciate the beauty.... More

This hotel was the most expensive of our trip and whilst it is interesting none of the interest stems from items which cost the hotelier any extra to provide, I doubt if there are any repeat visits. That is the negative out of the way on the positive side the location at 6140 ft above sea level is stunning, set in... More

I was super excited to stay at this hotel specially!! Unfortunately, I got shocked! the staff was really really rude. Although we were at our honeymoon!!! The price is highest in Nuwara Eiyla which I really regret each pence I paid for this hotel!!
