Located on top of a hill overlooking the tea plantation, it is an old tea factory converted to a hotel. A unique theme with many antiques, photos and reminders of the Ceylon Tea Plantation days. Rooms are big, but the bathroom is not designed well, especially having to climb high to step into the bathtub. Food was good with many... More

Stayed in many hotels around the world but this hotel is certainly different. This is a hotel museum. Fabulous restoration of an old tea factory keeping as much of the original character as possible. Very warm welcome on arrival infact the staff can't do enough for you. All friendly and very smiley. Rooms are lovely. Spacious, warm with all the... More

Just did one night here on our weeks tour. Arrived in the early evening mist so not much to see. Stayed in flower dew suite, beautify appointed with butler service. Dinner and breakfast included, good choices at both meals. Would have liked longer stay here.

As a family of 7, this was an experience of a lifetime. Coming from over 35 C in Colombo, to the mist and cold within a few hours was incredible. The drive to the hotel was breath-taking as the mist and fog had settled in for the night and we were unsure as to where we were going!! The welcome... More

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Heritance Tea Factory. This is a great opportunity to stay in an original tea factory is the hills surrounding Nuwara Eliya, my husband in particular really enjoyed our stay here. The buffet was fairly average but the service was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Through the hotel we... More

An amazing conversion of a former tea factory. Externally it still has the appearance of a tea factory, but inside has been converted to a very comfortable eco friendly hotel. Friendly helpful staff & some quirky elements - like the station master who shows you the railway carriage restaurant!! We thought that was just a tad OTT & elected to... More

We loved everything about this hotel - from the drive up the mountain with evening mist, the warm greeting on arrival, and, the abundant service at this amazing hotel will be sure to impress...and remain a lasting memory. You simply must stay in this beautifully restored tea factory - whether it's the cozy rooms (once used as withering lofts as... More

Stayed 2 nights in this wonderful property along with my family last December, and what a wonderful 2 nights they were. Perched on top of a hill, you have mist and greenery in abundance. Just what you need to cut yourself away from all the noise of a busy city life. The property is an old tea factory which has... More

Spectacular drive to a spectacular hotel - and arriving in the mist added to the fun! Great staff and the building is extraordinary. Love the old machinery which is run daily, love the old lift and the general ambience too. Our room had an amazing view and dining in the old railway carriage was just charming. A big thank you... We loved this hotel-- the room was beautiful, quiet, and spacious, and had a great view. The bathroom was clean and bright. The service was excellent. And the common spaces were gorgeous. Oh, and breakfast was fabulous. This place is a winner. Definitely do the tea picking experience, it was fun and interesting. Also, dinner in the train carriage is... More
