Cocoon Hills Resort is the best place I ever thought, surely, this is a place where lots of people get a secured Wi-Fi network in their devices. A secured Wi-Fi password is available, find Hills-N-Resort, then put the password as "admin@123".

Despite this bungalow's appearance, it's a thirty year old purpose built house, closely surrounded by other buildings, at the end of a lane, 15 minutes walk from town. The house is dingy, partly due to the dark floor and furnishings, and partly due to poor lighting. The decor is a kitsch mix of modern and faux 1950's ornaments (some of... More

Our arrival here didn't get start us off particularly well being tired and very wet. Nuwara Eliya is high up and frankly it was quite cold. If you visit here remember to take some warmer clothing. Cocoon Hills is at the end of a drive and quite enclosed with other hotels etc. it is a large house with a lounge/... More

Spent a day with family in this place. Though we found the food a little expensive and of average quality, the staff were very hospitable and caring. They serve American breakfast as part of package. Very picturesque location, in the small town

Happy to report a good experience here. Lovely place, nice and clean, decent breakfast, and great staff. I did get a half price internet deal (about AUD 50 per night). Drawbacks would be shower is only a trickle (they really need low flow shower heads with gravity hot water), in peak season neighbouring properties will party into the night (bad... More

Cocoon Hills Nuwara Eliya Date of stay: 20th Jan & 21st Jan 2014 We were given a warm welcome from the manager, Mr Morseth, and shown a very nice first floor en-suite room. The room and bathroom were clean, although the shower took some time to warm up, and the only irritation was that the kettle does not have a... More

The Hotel "its a wooden house really" was rated as 4 star but I think it should not exceed a single stare rating if any !!( way over priced) The walls, doors are so thin you can hear every thing that goes around you and for sure you are heard too, you need to whisper to keep you conversation privet... We stayed for 2 nights in late November 2013. For the price we paid here we stayed at far better places, and I would say this was very over priced even for the high price you often pay in Sri Lanka. We had no proper welcome, the light was out in the bathroom, we didn't get fresh towels or the... More

We stayed two nights and were glad we opted for this quaint B&B cottage rather than the neighbouring large hotels. Comfortable bed (didn't notice any damp but we were very lucky with the weather during our brief stay), reasonable breakfast, helpful staff, quiet yet convenient location. Cocoon Hills is a 3 minute walk from Glendower Hotel which has excellant facilities... More

We were disappointed when we spent a night at cocoon hills (meant to be two nights). There was food left in room from previous guests and general uncleanliness. In comparison to other places we stayed this was far too overpriced. It is a pretty establishment, however our room was wedged next to kitchen and lounge. Very noisy when trying to... More
