Unfriendly, dirty, no warm water no wifi even though manager promised. The guy in the reception spoke no english when we complained, but when he wanted money he spoke fluently. Its VERY humid and because of that, water was dripping from the walls (smell of fungus) and the bed was soaken wet. We didnt even stay one night.

We arrived late in rainy Nuwara Eliya and met this guy from the hotel, who took us there with mini van (3 min from bus station). Room was old, but clean. It's not that comfortable for staying several nights. Service was okay, food also okay, if you don't expect miracles for low price this is for you. Not that bad... More

We arrived in Nuwara Eliya later than expected. All the good hotels had no room left. That’s why we slept in the Victoria Inn in Nuwara Eliya. It was a nightmare, it was the worst hotel ever. The staff wasn’t friendly, the room was dirty, there were a lot of insects. The air in the room was very humid and... More

I booked this "hotel" through Agoda and one of the conditions was that there be an onsuite. When checking into the hotel, the bathroom was in the open, to be shared by everyone, including the reception area. The room stank as if there was a sewer running through the room. The room was located on the ground floor and had... More

Should not called a hotel at all. Incompetent hotel manager didn't give us any towels or toilet paper. Food was okay but not beeing worth waiting over 1 1/2 hours for a soup. They also try to make different prices to guests or forget their bookings to give the rooms to other people.

The so called hotel is not worth going to. We had a cold room without towels or toillet paper. The windows in the bathroom couldn't be closed and we had moskitos and different animals in our room. The staff is really slow and it took them 1 1/2 hours to make a soup!

We only chose this place because it was the cheapest we could find. But it certainly didn't live up to similar guest houses of the same price range in Sri Lanka. The room was depressing and is in dire need of a complete refit. There's mould around the window, the mattress looks like it has just been pulled out of... More

Nice place to stay in Nuwara Eliya, the manager went out of his way to help us when the internet stopped working. The rooms are clean, though there are quite a few mosquitos so bring your repellant as there are no mosquito nets. The one gripe we had when staying here was the manager interfered with our organisation of a... More

This place needs to taken in the context of its price. It likely one of the cheapest hotels to stay at in Nuwara Eliya, so you have to accept that there will be some compromises. That being said you get free WiFi, hot water and a great friendly staff if you stay here. Neal was amazing. I didn't want to... More

The Victoria inn is well located in Nuwara Eliya, unfortunately that is the only good thing that I can state about the place. The hotel is run down and need of modernization. The staff are well meaning but totally incompetent, simple things like ordering a beer took 40 minutes and when they delivered the beer it was warm. The staff... More
