No buffet. The evening food menu was disappointing as were the quality of the evening meals. the most overpriced even the food is expensive. i thought location situated in nuwara eliya. but unfortunately, it is 13km drive but takes about 45 min because of road construction. the view from our bedroom window early in the morning was of misty mountain... Hotel was exaggerated in the website and it was not as big and sophisticated as we thought. No buffet. No personal in the spa. Pool table with broken stick. And it is a mini pool table as well. Everything here is mini, even the pool. Furthermore I am feeling the hotel is situated bit too far from Nuwara Eliya town.... More

Very pretty hotel, with spectacular views. However not much atmosphere as this is very small! Do not get room 102, as the window backs onto the kitchens and you hear the staff late at night and early in the morning preparing food. Food very good. Comfortable places to sit within the drawing room to read if you don't want to... More

Stunning views. A nice pool. Beautifully tended gardens. Its small, quiet and has kept its country house feel in the furnishings, general decor and general ambience, so it feels like you're arriving at a relative's house for a celebration... waking up in the morning and hearing the gentle bustle of people moving around continues that image. They also do tea... More

A lovely boutique destination for travellers seeking unique experiences. Landale is surrounded by tea plantations and mountains, located right in the middle of the old-fashioned beauty of Sri Lankan nature. I stayed there for a couple of nights, and I rather enjoyed my stay. I specifically loved the food cooked by the local chef. Rooms were cosy, very clean, with... More

There is so much that is great about this small, beautifully located hotel in the heart of the tea plantation area of Sri Lanka. The service is friendly and efficient, the food is excellent and the views stunning. It just needs a bit more attention to detail in order to be the luxury destination it aspires to be. We arrived... Situated on top of a tea estate this hotel has an amazing view all around. Well maintained gardens with roses etc add value to it. A cosy well maintained bungalow with limited rooms. Rooms are comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Food is also good. However, the road to the hotel is a nightmare as it is under construction.

Nice hotel, nice rooms and beautiful views around the Tea Country. The hotel had a very formal feel to it, which is not what we were expecting at all. The staff were friendly and helpful, however, the atmosphere could have been a bit more relaxed. It was very quiet here, with only one other family staying there. The food was... More

Loved everything about this Hotel. The staff is super helpful, gorgeous view and good food. The only negative is that the road to get to the hotel is under construction but wasn't a major problem to us as we traveled by train

To be fair my husband and I were not in the best of moods by the time we arrived at Amaya Langdale. As other reviewers have pointed out, the road to the hotel was a nightmare. We arrived during "rush hour" and it took the hotel van over an hour to drive the pot holed, under construction road filled with... More
