Stayed 3 days in the Eagla's Nest, top point of the guesthouse, with a balcony looking out onto the beautiful nuwara eliya town. Room is small but clean and cozy and with an amazing view. Although bathroom is not in the room, it is only 3 steps away, so this is not a problem at all. The owner and his... More

This place offers one of the most incredible views in Nuwara Eliya, situated on one of the highest mountain peaks in the area, facing town. The rooms are great and the facilities as well but it gets very cold in the nights so be sure to bring woolen socks and a union suit unless you want to stay awake freezing... More

Such a wonderful place to stay. Excellent views from the balcony and kind and helpful hosts. It is a great place to just relax - sit on the terrace or in the garden and admire the landscape - you also can catch the pretty sunsets.

Such a relaxed, cosy place - we arrived at fairly short notice and Wasantha and team couldn't do enough. They cooked us a great Sri Lankan meal, made a fire and arranged an excellent driver to Horton Plains. The room was very warm, spotless and comfortable. And the views from the house were spectacular, particularly at sunset. In the morning,... More

The owner Wasantha is very nice and helpful. The house has a nice view and cosy fireplace in the living room. Wasantha arranged our driver to Adams Peak and gave us blankets and tea and fruit.for the way. The food was ok. The staff was really nice and the beds comfortable. Thanks to Wasantha and his wife!

We love the views from balcony, for morning and for sunset. We considered the host offered us the best food in Eliya, according to our own preference. That's why far from town won't be a problem for us, and we did not mind to pay 10% service charges. The host was kind to us, had offered us good routines for... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in January 2014 and were actually sad to leave! Wasantha is a genuine man who wants to do the best for his guests. His family and staff are lovely too. When we arrived he did us a little map of how to walk down to town and where things were. The walk down into... More

We stayed here for one night, and it was a lovely respite from the cold Jo in the hills! It's more expensive than lonely planet suggest (we paid 3000 rupees for a double) but our room was hotel standard - toilet paper folded into a triangle, lovely cosy blanket and nice towels too. Incredible hot water as well! You also... More

we paid a lot to stay here for 3 nights because it was over Christmas (Rs 6000 for double room). They did us a lovely Christmas dinner (with carol singers) on Christmas Eve and the rooms were generally clean and comfy. The downside is that the house is freezing (I've no idea how cold it needs to get before they... More

We thought that this place was really great. Yes, it's a 200 rupee tuk tuk (ask to be shown the shortcut to go down to town - it's a 15 or so minute walk) from town, but this also makes it a little quieter and the view from the guesthouse is really nice. The owner is a real genuine man... More
