visited this place on mid january 2016 and stayed two nights. very central place. rooms are big. toilets clean but average fittings. bed is comfortable enough. heaters are working .food is good and have enough variety. service good. overall nothing to complain for the price you pay.

Dirty hotel, worried about food, especially with children. Needs a thorough clean. Staff not at all bothered about low standards. Electrical wiring most odd and certainly did not look safe. Why provide a t.v. in room when plug does not fit any of the sockets???

We had a decent buffet dinner here. Mixture of various cuisines. They are one of the few licensed places in town. Building is beautiful and exudes long lost grandeur. Built two hundred years ago. The regional colonial administration was based here. After the British left town it appears no maintenance was done.

They have to change the metress and have to clean it up. Staff is good and food is abundant..but quality has to increase. I had to request to change tea cups as the stains on them were not acceptable.

After looking at a few other ‘so called’ decent hotels we ended up here. The staff were fine, friendly and helpful, especially the barman, but the facilities were pretty awful. The room was huge, but dirty. The surfaces were generally greasy and worst of all the sheets had stains on them. They may have been washed but they certainly didn’t... More

Stayed here recently for my 60th.treated ourselves to the a suite.rooms were clean, though the bathroom did let the suite down, the property had not lost any of its past history and had a lovely feeling. Special thanks to member of staff, chinthana, who couldn't have been more helpful.

Stayed at Ceybank for one night with the family. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food is average as well. My mom couldn't climb stairs frequently so they were helpful in providing room service for her. The rooms were spacious, but smelled of old property. The poster beds creaked everytime we made a small move!!! As a result we couldn't sleep... More

You can see how beautiful the rooms and the building used to be, but unfortunately, now it's just overpriced for what jou get (we paid €70). Furniture is old and here and there in need of maintanance. There is a small elektric fire you can use in your room so that's ok. Breakfast was ok but not great, more than... More

This is an excellent place when you need to spend time with you family with little more privacy especially when it is holiday season. Good location, easy to access, but for sure it needs more maintenance and attention. Prices are reasonable for what they offer and may be could do better with a slight increase of rates. Food has a... More

This is an excellent location, very close to all Nuwara Eliya attarctions. This is a very old building belongs to colonial era. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't expect star class hotel experience, but you can get more than what you pay for. Ideal for local visitors and even foreigner who want to experience Sri Lankan people and culture more... More
