We stayed at Ceybank Rest last Saturday 13th June 2015. This place needs a renovation so badly. Rooms are spacious but quite average. Bathrooms are not that clean. Sink was broken and the tap was leaking. They have put more effort to maintain the garden than cleaning the rooms. They don't have fixed heaters in rooms so we had to... More

To say that his hotel has seen better days would be an understatement. The arrival is promising, with a lovely building and garden. The reception is just about OK with a likeable colonial feel. The rooms however are a total disaster. Run down, shabby and grotty. Bathrooms more so, especially as there was no hot water on the night I... More

I spent one night in this hotel. The room was OK, shower good, and I had a nice pasta meal delivered to my room. BUT.....open getting into bed, felt some crawly things. Luckily there was a second bed in the room so I hot-footed it into that bed to sleep. After getting home however, and unpacking my suitcase and clothes... More

We traveled to Nuwaraeliya on 15th May 2015 and we decided to have dinner at the Ceybank Rest. We were not thought to stay at this hotel as we had already booked another hotel in Nuwaraeliya (Not far away from this hotel). However, we did not find comfortable with the bungalow that we booked. So, we decided to hunt bungalows... More

Myself and my family stayed in this hotel for three days of last April. Three beded family room is LKR 13250 with two meals. Room is clean and comportable but bed linen is not changed daily. No one can expect modern wash room from colonial time place but it is satisfactory. Best thing is we can access to the famous places... More

Location is excellent and has easy access to the town . They have well maintained large garden. Food is very good and room and facilities are very good. The cost is very reasonable.Staff is very helpful.

Rooms are clean and bedlinen is clean - bathroom is maybe not so interesting. The hotel is a bit tired and need in general an update. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had our dinner in the restaurant and this was very good. Breakfast is good with almost everything.

You can't complain about the hotel itself. It used to be a British governor's mansion and has that colonial style that's just awesome. It is an old building so don't expect anything modern in your room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food wasn't bad at all. It's quiet at night, being a bit outside the centre,... First, Nuwara Eliya was a great surprise, like a pause button pressed during our travelling. Very clean and cosy. Hotel is great, colonial architecture and spirit. Good service and rooms that are large and have a good hot shower.
