Great, calm and comfortable place for stay in Nuwara Eliya. In 5 minutes you are in downtown of nice colonial town. Very good, kind personnel, who prepares great breakfast and traditional Ceylonese tea. Thank you for nice experience.

The trevene hotel is a quiet hotel in an ancient colonial house. Nissa the manager, french and english speaking, is considerate person. If the weather is no good, you can stay in the comfortable room, in the veranda with a cup of tea or besides the fireplace. A very nice place !

We stayed for 3-4 nights in June 2014. The hotel itself is a lovely colonial type hotel that has been updated in parts and looks fairly well maintained overall. Our room was small but adequate and comfortable especially the bed. Bedding was nice and warm no need for heater. The bathroom was clean even if a little ratty and in... More

We stayed here a little while ago, and it looks as if not much has changed! The property definitely needed an upgrade then (bedroom and bathroom were quite basic and tired, ditto bed). The staff was friendly and efficient, but the prices very expensive for what was delivered compared to other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. We paid luxury... More

My stay at Trevene was such a positive and refreshing experience. After travelling for quite some time through Sri Lanka,I finally found a place which ticked all the boxes.the staff, especially Raj, went above and beyond their call of duty to ensure my needs were met.Trevene is definitely the epitome of hospitality! Great location as it offers peace yet the... More

The township of Nuwara Eliya is in itself, like an idyllic diorama, disconnected from a larger Museum exhibit and comfortably displaced in the highlands of Ceylon. Utterly oblivious to the world around it. Now, I'm not a practising 'Psychiatrist' however, it is my own opinion when I state that Nuwara Eliya appears somehow irrelevant to the greater world, yet curiously... More

We spent here 1 night and organized walking trip on the Horton Plains. The hotel is in the british style historical building. Nice, but our feeling was the last renovation also was until the british rules... Definitely needs some maintenance, especially in the bathroom. We had a problem with the cleanliness in the bathroom too. The breakfast package for the... More

Having come from a gorgeous boutique hotel in Kandy for a lower price, we were very disappointed with the Trevene. Members of staff, particularly kitchen and waiting staff, were lovely. The room however, was uninviting - there was a nice large bed and a hot shower but the decor was tired and the bathroom cold and wet after one use... More

We made a reservation here months in advance and even called to confirm a few days before arriving. Unfortunately our reservation was not kept even though we had confirmation emails and had phoned ahead. The staff is very friendly and the fire place in the room was charming.

Trevene is an old colonial bungalow, 8 rooms for guests, owners manage themselves & live there. Centrally located, close to city center & Park. We stayed in room with fire place, large room, good bathroom with bath tub, nice old world charm, clean crisp linen. A towel decoration on arrival in room was very pleasing. breakfast was simple, Sri Lankan... More
