We traveled from Unawatuna to Nuwara Eliya by taxi on the first day of 2014 (so this review has been long time pending, and I finally got around to completing it). It was a long journey and we'd been travelling all day. We left Unawatuna in the afternoon, and arrived at Nuwara Eliya at night (at about 10 PM). Unfortunately,... More

Great place to stay, from the food, made in a real clean tidy environment and very authentic, to the water feature that runs through the place, real chilled and relaxed environment, And the owner Nishantha is a top guy very welcoming and hospitable, and I'll defiantly looking to see what I can do about sorting you an AllSaints Denim jacket... We went for 2 days, and stayed for 4. Need I say more! You walk into a lovely airy reception/dining area and know that you have found a really good place to stay. Our room was large, clean and had its own balcony looking out onto the plants and trees surrounding the building. However, what always makes a place special... More

Having stayed at many hotels in Srilanka I would definitely say that this place made an impact on me and is the like the easiest review for me !!!!The rooms were fabulous, the food great and the ambience was definitely the key thing which made it super great !!! We stayed at King Fern at the last minute. Walking in we knew this place was something cool and special. The vibe of the place was rad, all handmade furniture and wood fires. It is surrounded by lush forest and sitting in the dining room or out on the balcony is so quiet and great for meditation. The food was... More

We stayed here in need of something a little more warm and comfortable after a very damp few days in the hill country. The staff were helpful on arrival and keen to ensure we had everything we needed. They found a room, and although it was a little small it was very clean and had lots of lovely warm blankets.... The place has some charm because of the building and location, but the owner is not a pleasent person. They lack on good service and dont Care about the costumers. The one thing really good was the driver, came to pick us up At the train station, and took us the day after for a tour At tea plantations, his... More

To be honest I would not recommend this place. Not at all! The only thing I like was the wooden restaurant with small fire place but that's it. I called there in advance to check availability and price up. The men asked how many people are we and when I said I am alone,he told me it is 1000 Rp.... More

This was the worst place we stayed in our 2 week trip in Sri lanka ( we are used to normal guesthouses of 2500 rupees)!! The management was super unfriendly, rooms were very dirty and dirt came out of the toilet everytime it was raining (75% of the time in nuwara eliya). I wouldn't recommend this place at all!
