I wouldn't call this a regular hotel, because it isn't. Rather, it's like a collection of treehouses near the river. Each room is designed like a balcony with a fence. No windows, just a bamboo curtain. The bathroom is accessed by going down a ladder through the floor. Here, the walls are made of stone and still no windows, just... More

This place is absolutely stunning! Beautiful view, nice cottages next to the river, extremely good food and friendly staff. We enjoyed the rafting tour (even in the rain it is definitely worth it)! If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, this is it! They can arrange transport from Colombo (and from and to other places)

This is a jungle stay. The villas have a very open concept & all of them overlook the river. Since its so peaceful all around, the only sound is that of the river gushing below. It took sometime for us to get used to this, but the experience is heavenly. The interiors of the rooms are very basic - but... More

Very friendly, rustic and homely/family feel to the place. Can't give the friendly and helpful staff enough credit. Great activities available (can recommend the White Water Rafting and Jungle Treks), and will be organised for you whenever you want. The food is great, curry, chicken, rice etc, and more western offerings like hotdogs and toast too. As the lodges overlook... More

+ Amazing location next to the river + Rooms are great - The staff was often very hard to find. Expecially difficult if you want to order something or should start a jungle tour at 6 am while there is no one... - Quite expensive - Dinner is very basic (the first night we where lucky to join a local... We stayed here for two nights in August 14 and really enjoyed it. As other people pointed out, this place is very much more an ecolodge / forest lodge and therefore anyone coming with the expectation of home comforts will be disappointed. However, that is definitely the appeal of the place. The huts are open to the trees and river,... More

This is not a hotel or a guesthouse, its an ecolodge so you probably need to make sure you are that kind of person before you stay here but with that aside this is a one of a kind experience. We stayed in a tree-house pitched on a few stilts 6-7 feet above the ground with a great view looking... More

Loved it. Cabin round a tree with crazy view of river. Any reviews you read that are negative re insects etc are written by people with zero experience of nature who have probably only ever slept in air con hotels on their hols. Of course if it is a bungalow built round a tree with open view of river then... More

We've done a good bit of eco-tent camping and cabin camping throughout Asia and thus thought we had a good feel for what to expect. While we definitely enjoyed our stay, it was a good bit rougher than we expected. I think a big disconnect for us was that most of our eco-lodge experiences had been beach-side and this was... More
