You can't beat being on a real topical island like this one.. Beautiful sand and scenic waters around. These islands are for people who just want to relax read chill etc... Otherwise it's a bit boring! I am not so creature friendly so the craps on the beach bothered me! The fact that baby sharks are swimming under my cabin... More

We went for a two week honeymoon here. Although very expensive we paid 20,000 to fly out buisness class from Glasgow. Glasgow to Dubai. Dubai to male. From moment we stepped in plain we were treated like royalty all the way through to male. Everything run smoothly. Once arriving at male we were taken to seaplane waiting area. That in... More

This is a wonderful place. We went there in May of this year and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff are just amazing, especially Abrahim from the Haruge restaurant. We opted for the beach villa and it was great, you are only a couple of yards from the beach which was amazing. I keep saying amazing but it really was.... More

In August 2014, my husband and i spent our honeymoon at Kuramathi Island, and what an incredible place it was. We stayed in a Jacuzzi Water Villa, chose the "select all inclusive" option (which is a definite must!!!) and spent 2 weeks relaxing there. What a magical place, they'd pretty much thought of everything. The island itself is covered in... More

We had the most amazing honeymoon at Kuramathi. At over 7.5k it was expensive but worth every penny. We booked through our bank account to get a bit of a discount with Kuoni. We flew with BA from Gatwick. Our flight out and then sea plane to Kuramathi were wonderful, and we were greeted with a very welcoming reception. We... More

We stayed at Kuramathi for our honeymoon and went for 2 weeks mid August. Overall we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a Jacuzzi Water Villa and in our opinion this was the best choice (for us anyway!) - just being able to step down into the water and sitting on the deck in the sunshine was wonderful. The... More

Stayed as family of 5 in August for 8 days and we had a fantastic time. Travelled by seaplane both ways and what a way to arrive! Loved it and yes our bags arrived on the plane behind us and we had to pay a small excess baggage amount but it was not inconvenient at all and the views you... More

I am torn between 4 and 5 stars but in the end settled for 4 star - more for minor things than anything else. I used tripadvisor a lot before choosing Kuramathi so I will add my thoughts. Rooms - we left booking late and pretty much took what was available - my wife and I had booked a deluxe... More
