Nice to have a double bed rather than 2 singles taking up too much space. All clean and new with very good checkin Standout was in house restaurant for nicely priced food with western touch for the homesick Eg grilled chicken with garlic bread sounds a bit funny but when coming off onsen breakfasts it was great

Room is tiny, but double bed size is adequate, quite comfortable. Breakfast area is extremely small, table close together and close to food place, feel crowded. Better to be seat next to window, otherwise you can't breathe. Ask reception prepare 2 door cards for you, because hotel will lock the lift after 12pm, it is inconvenience for group of friends.

Very very small room even by japan standard. Booked a double room and find that the bed is only of full size with one side of the bed against the wall. This makes getting on and out of bed a challenge. Room is clean but noisy as it faces the Obihiro JR station. You could hear the station announcement from... More

A decent, modern (by Japanese standard) hotel in an excellent location. Right opposite the Obihiro JR Station, it is also a few minutes away from the busy restaurant area where you can easily find what you want to eat. Rooms are small (which is OK) as we only needed to stay there for 10 hours before we truly commenced our... More

A relatively new hotel near the JR station. You can find a lot of eating places right behind the corner. Room is very clean, bed is comfy, city view is nice and I can even see sun rise in the room. Although most staff could not speak English well, u can see their eagerness to help and their friendliness resolved... More

This is a nice hotel for Japan standards. Great tub and good service. The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. However, I did have some trouble sleeping because of neighboring people beside and above me being quite noisy at all hours of the night. This really isn't a reflection on the hotel, but maybe that the floors and walls... More

Just finishing up a two night stay at the Richmond in Obihiro. The location is good, just opposite the train station and just a block from the Fujimaru dept. store and with many restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is fine. The rooms are the typical size for Japan, quiet (I'm in 1201 right next to the elevator and... More

I enjoyed 1 night in Obihiro with my husband. I am impressed of the hospitality and well organized staff. The room is super clean and it has comfortable bed, free pajama, tooth brash, luxuary shampoo and conditioner. Excellent location nearby Obihiro Station, and a few munites to downtown and night market. Coin operated, self-service laundry is installed. Convinient for long... More

We stayed at Richmond as a stopover between Chitose and Sounkyo. This hotel offers value for money and we managed to book a room with breakfast for slightly more than 9000 Yen. Location-wise, it is perfect for travellers by train since the JR station is just across the road. The main part of town is a very short walk away... More

This is part of a chain of hotels. It is located across the street from the Obihiro train station. It is a modern multi-story building. Rooms are large by Japanese standards and have a fridge, coffee and tea, closet, and desk. Cable internet (ethernet) in the rooms but no wireless available that I could access. There is a PC for...
