Absolutely the best place to stay in ubud, especially if you're trying to escape all the noise and tourists in the kuta-seminyak area, this place is surely it! surrounded by lush green forests overlooking the river this little piece of heaven on earth was a gem. The moment we arrived we were greeted with world class hospitality by Paul (our... More

Como Shambhala is arguably the best hotel in Ubud, if not in Bali. If you are passionate about hotels and resorts, it is one of the best kept secrets of Indonesia. Being a secret, I actually should not to spill the beans, but I just did as my stay was truly phenomenal. There is no better way to explore Ubud... More

The hotel is just stunning. An Oasis in the Jungle. It's so peaceful and tranquil. The grounds in overlooking the river are just stunning. If you are looking for a tranquil sanctuary, with amazing kind service, delicious healthy restaurants in an elegant setting then this is the place to go.

8 nights of absolute bliss, can't express how fabulous my break here has been, the estate is so beautiful, immaculately kept, staff are all so warm and friendly & considerate, it's peaceful and private, a mix of interesting international guests, lots of individuals like me on their own just wanting some time out to unwind and rejuvenate. The Spa treatments... More

I read about Heston Blumenthal's visit to Como Shambhala before I decided on visiting the property. It took me 15 hours and several hours of layover time to reach the lush, verdant jungle of Ubud. This was my second trip to Bali so I was pretty familiar with the area. My husband and I were privileged guests at the Como... More

We stayed for 2 nights. It was not long enough. Next time we come to Bali we will definitely be visiting the Como again. The grounds are stunning. Surrounded by forest with the sound of the river running below you can't help but be instantly relaxed. The tranquility is off the charts. The resort is set on a hill, so... More

Have stayed at Como Shambala at Ubud twice in the last month, once with my daughter in December and recently with my husband for a short stay in Jan and would happily return again! The grounds are magnificent, rooms are well spaced in clusters with a shared pool. the river pools down at the valley floor are stunning and truly... More

We just spent five days at the Como Shambala in Bali with our three children (19yrs, 16yrs, 10yrs). We stayed in a private residence but would have been happy in any one of the 33 rooms that are part of this small oasis - from rooms that seem to float in the treetops, hug an infinity pool, or light up... We are currently staying at the Como estate. Compared to the Aman where we came from and highly recommend, the general manager Paul at the Como does not run a, "tight ship." The staff is not trained to do simple things like turn your shoes out for you or close doors behind them to avoid Mosquitos and other insects from... More

Dear Tchia333, Warmest greetings from COMO Shambhala Estate. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. It is saddening to read that you found our service as not a first class level. Our five uniquely themed residential complexes are laid out similar to open-air traditional Balinese compounds. It means that some insect may fly into an open aired pavilion and... More
