So some of the reviews below made me a bit nervous to stay at Hanging Gardens but now that I have experience the place second hand I am SO thankful I ignored those reviews and moved forward. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. It was the perfect getaway from the other busy... More

The hotel was really beautiful, comfortable and tranquil. It has a personalized services too. We stayed there during Nyepi Silence Festival. And the Wifi broke down for half day. It was so frustrating. It wasn't really the hotel's fault though, they already did whatever they can. But one thing to note is this is a jungle, and you can expect... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 or so days during our honeymoon in Bali. It was truly beautiful. It was amazing to have monkeys running over the roof of the building and across the lawn in front of the private bungalow. We loved the privacy and secluded feeling of our bungalow. We also appreciated not being in central... More

Amazing place in the middle of the jungle! Nice people and excellent food! The only thing is that the room doesn't have enough protection for insects, they can get inside really easy, ants, spiders, crickets, etc... The pool area is incredible even though the service is this area it's poor

I was hoping to stay at the hotel for long time and finally managed to have time to do so. The place was about 1.5-2hr drive from airport and 20-25min from Ubudu which is on way to/from airport. So, basically inconvenient but on the other hand peaceful and quiet. It is your preference to stay central Ubudu which is very... More

We stayed for three nights at this property in February. The room assigned to us was fairly dated, especially the outdoor furniture, very worn with mould all over the daybed cushions. Wifi didn't work at all whenever there was rain. The restaurant, while expensive, offered decent food at dinner. Breakfast was also good. The massage was hit and miss, we... More

Sensational spot. Extremely friendly staff, great hotel with magnificent grounds and view. The restaurant had great meals including breakfast. We stayed in a family villa with the kids in the room downstairs and our own infinity pool. The kids loved the room and the hotel, and particularly loved watching the monkey's in the trees and on the balcony's first thing... More

A gorgeous and exotic place to stay in Ubud. It is a bit far from the centre of UBUD , but they have great shuttle services. The pool is not children friendly, but it is the most beautiful pool and my favorite pool I have ever been. The cultural entertainment is as lovely as the beautiful nature Exotic is the... More

So the pros: the service and staff far exceeded any that I've experienced save for a few notable ryokans in Kyoto or ultra high-end destinations elsewhere. The food at the restaurant was expensive, and excellent. The setting is jaw-dropping. To have a drink alone in that bar overlooking the jungle gorge and Ayung River is heavenly. The cons: shuttle service,... More
