On Monday 5 May 2014 my friend and myself had a walk through Selasih and walked in the resort. No more staff, all empty. The resort is no more in operation. Partially overgrown, would need major investment for repairs. Some attempts are made to at least clean the long stairway. The rest shows what happens when jungle takes it back.... More

I stayed in The Payangan Hideaway for 10 days. I had trouble contacting this hotel as phone was either unanswered or out of range. No internet so my emails were useless. I arrived at 3am ( by taxi as they did not collect me. I was told to catch a taxi or wait until 10am). The room was damp moldy... More

After reading the online reviews for the Payangan Hideaway Villa's, I was little suprised at the condition the hotel was in (including our villa). Whilst the views of the Payangan countryside were absolutely stunning, I was quite dissapointed by the condition our villa was in. For starters, mould (or moss - I'm not sure) covered a large portion of the... More

went there for my honeymoon and i love the privacy it offers! perfect! it is very secluded and i believe we were the only occupants there. the staff were very helpful. also maybe because there weren't other guests, so they weren't busy that much. stayed there for 5 days and on the 3rd day, weather wasn't that good and we... This was advertised as being is Ubud but in actual fact is about 40 minutes out of Ubud! This is really just a group of about 8 private villas, each with either a pool or spa. We stayed in a villa with our own private pool overlooking rice paddys and beautiful foliage. The villa itself consisted of on big room... More

If you want a hideaway from the hustle bussle this is ideal, a very tranquil spot. The 'cempaka' villas with the infinity pool are definately the ones to book (you can even get away having a skinny dip as its that private). Its not close to much- about 40mins in normal traffic into Ubud down.... we actually booked here by... More

TPH certainly is a hideaway. Picked up from DPS airport, it was late and totally dark by the time we had cleared the maddening traffic and headed up and down through of the impossibly narrow roads of the villages. Unfortunately the last 100 metres of road were closed for repair during our visit. This meant we and our luggage had... More

If you're tired with the city's life or if you need just to rejuvenate and clear your mind. This is the perfect place for you! You can't find anywhere else with outstanding view with such a great value. You always can get good service and good food everywhere, but you can't enjoyed private swimming pool while seeing mountain view anywhere... More

Can't fault the view overlooking cliff down to Ayung, you also get direct access to the river. Very quiet and peaceful. Privacy is a little bit compromised with the arrangements of the villa, the lower units get overlooked by upper ones a little bit. Location is quite a long way away from the Ubud centre though, you'll be relying on... More
