The Olive Branch Inn is in an excellent location - just a few blocks from the historic square of Independence, Missouri. It is within walking distance of several historic sites. This place used to be an office building for the RLDS and it still kind of feels like one with cinder block walls and stainless steel switch plate covers, but who cares. The rooms are huge and the location was just great for us. You can easily walk to "the square." Our room faced the historic home across the street... more

We found the Olive Branch Inn (OBI) from an internet search. We had been looking at Bed &Breakfasts in the area for our anniversary. I wanted something "extra" in our room for our anniversary and everyone else was charging $50-140. When I stumbled upon OBI online I thought, "no way, that's scary cheap."
