We stayed a week at Bloo Lagoon in August 2014 in the villa with the leaf shape iron cast door which is featured in so many photographs (villa #8). We had a wonderful time there. The villa is beautiful, the Balinese setting and the view are amazing and the staff is delightful and always eager to please. The village feels... More

Summary: Unique "eco" resort with open-air villas and restaurant, all with beautiful ocean views. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Excellent spa. Many activities including excellent snorkeling and tours to regional sites of interest. Some folks may not like the open design. Bloo Lagoon will be favored by folks who are seeking an ecologically designed seaside tropical resort with local... More

Amazing-beautiful-relaxing - words actually cant describe how great his place is. Staff were amazing, spa relaxing and our 2 bedroom villa was to die for! Nothing was a problem and so close to town but far enough away that you felt like you had your own private get away.

I'm not used to bad review, but we just spent 3 weeks in Bali and the only bad experience was at bloo lagoon ;-( Hopefully we stayed only 1 night. Yes, the location is great, and the concept interesting. But what sounds good on Internet website do not exist in the reality. We had a villa close to the restaurant... More

The Bloo Lagoon Village is a wonderful place to spent some good days in the south of bali. Padangbai is more than an harbour with boats to the Gilis, Padangbai is a nice small village with friendly people. You can go to the beaches (White sand beach or bloo lagoon beach) but the best is to dive. We dived with... More

PROS: - warm welcome - beautiful view - clean - interesting site (ping-pong, pool, works of art) - fresh and varied breakfast CONS: - one day is not enough to appreciate the installations BOTTOM LINE : great hotel all around but I would suggest the small villa at the bottom of the complex for a maximum experience.

While i'm sure this place appeals to a certain type of guest ('ageing hippies' -see review from anonymous 1226), it certainly wasn't for us. We are a pretty nature loving family but frankly i think this resort is using this 'enviro friendly' tag as a way to charge more for what is a tired and rundown establishment. Here's the positives...... More

Are you an aging European hippie with small children? Do you secretly miss staying in hostels? Do you really really really like nature? Are you not fussed about mediocre food? Are you really trying to disconnect on vacation, i.e., avoid internet in rooms? If so, Bloo Lagoon may be for you. For the rest of us? Not so much (even... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for pointing out aspects of Bloo Lagoon. Some of the inconveniences that you mention are indeed a product of being an eco resort. The living nature, animal within ; bugs, gecko, frogs, butterflies, birds are beautifull creature to live with, to maintain the balance of our acosystem. We do... More
