My sister and brother in law are staying in this hotel/apartments. I have travelled 10,000 miles from the UK for a family reunion with my sister and brother and their families, who live in Australia. We decided to do a once in a lifetime reunion on the island of Bali. After one night in the Jayakarta apartments my sister came... More

I have read the reviews before me and I think most of you are expecting 5 star accommodation for the price of 3 star. Yes the hotel is a bit on the old side and the rooms could a bit cleaner but beds were very comfortable water pressure fantastic grounds and pools are beautiful. The staff couldn't be more polite... We have stayed here a few times and enjoy the location. The hotel is a bit tired and we have chosen to stay in privately owned rooms on the last 2 occasions as these are updated and have been excellent and exceed that of some 4 star hotels we have stayed at over there. Close to everything including restaurants and... More

Seriously people...when you said it's good hotel, which room are you in? It has sofa in living room area, when I sat on it, mozzies were flying away. My husband got dengue and chikungunya before, so I'm pretty paranoid about mozzies. You can smell mould in the room & the bathroom door can't close properly.

I had the pleasure of staying for 14 nights this August in apartment 6205. A lovely light filled apartment with very modern bath facilities. No complaints at all. Made the manager lovely and prompt with any requests. I would always choose this Barbs private apartment over and above a Jayakarta Hotel Apartment. The attention to detail is just not the... More

Decided to stay here on a solo parenting trip with my 4yo son. We were really impressed with the hotel grounds when we turned up but it quickly deteriorated from there. Firstly the driver forgot to pick us up from the airport. We basically got a "oh well, at least you didn't prepay" kind of apology (if you'd call it... More

Stayed here for 10 nights recently. In its day it would have been lovely, however, is now in need of a good makeover. The place looks tired and we also had a leak in our room. The resort food is the worst that we tasted in the whole of Bali, and the fitness centre machines are all broke and even... More

This was my 4th trip to Bali & my first time at Jayakarta. We had 11 people in our group & we all had issues with this resort. I was extremely appalled at the service and treatment we received from the staff. The hotel itself was rundown, however this was not an issue. The staff were not friendly & upon... More

After reading some terrible reviews I was quite nervous about our booking with our two children, aged 2 and 3. After 2 change of dates due to the volcanic ash cloud, free of charge unlike other places, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Staff were friendly and we were quickly checked in and taken to our room. Interconnecting ground floor... More
