The location of Jayakarta is excellent. Only a closed off to cars road separates you from legian beach. There is everything you could need or want at the gates of the hotel. The hotel is old but sufficient by way of having many pools, resturants, bars and leisure activities. The only down side is the lack of hand or face... More

Recommended by friends and flight centre as good traditional Bali resort. Grounds looked lovely on arrival. As Bette Midler sings - from a distance - but that's where it ended for us. On entry room did not look properly prepared. Fridge (old) wasn't working, no towels so had to phone housekeeping straight off.. Bathroom toiletries not fully equipped and no... More

We arrived at the Jayakarta Hotel with no booking after an horrendous 1st nights stay elsewhere. The staff were so friendly offering welcome drinks, even though we had not made a decision to stay there yet. Thankfully they had accommodation available for us and the check in staff were so extremely helpful and polite. They are a real credit to... More

Longstanding family resort very popular with families Beautiful gardens great location walking distance to a lot of really good restaurants in Legian,Double 6 Seminyak area...but even though the rooms are clean and the staff very friendly, Management must spend money on maintaining this beautiful Grand Dame!!! I had to change rooms because my door would not lock properly & it... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Jayakarta but were a bit concerned about the dangerous balcony railings and balusters, especially as we had a toddler in tow. The staff fixed them immediately but issues like this and dodgy powerpoints should be checked in regular maintenance schedules. The staff were wonderful and friendly as usual.

Have stayed here before but it was the 1st time using a wheelchair. Easy access (with husband) to reception, can fit in doorway to rooms, easy access to breakfast/restaurant and I could use a swimming pool because it had a handrail. Also no stairs to the beach road.

We had a deluxe room on the ground floor with a small balcony area. It had 3 beds as we were travelling with our daughter. Was lovely and clean and tidy. Bathroom was a little tired but clean. The 3 pools were fabulous and we had the breakfast included in our package so was a good way to start the... More
