My sister and I stayed at this motel, we are in our 50's so we wanted a quiet place yet close to everything. I have stayed in Bali 10 times now and Alam KulKul is by the far the best I have stayed at. 2 beautiful pools, lovely walk ways to the rooms, our room was so nice to come... More

We stayed here for the last 4 nights of our stay in Bali, to get in some shopping after staying in quieter parts of Bali. We were pleasantly surprised at just how peaceful & quiet this resort is, even though it is virtually in the middle of the busy hub of Legian & Kuta. Great location just a short walk... More

Stayed here for 3 nights from the 15th Sept. We stayed in Villa 111 which was well positioned, with a large room and a fantastic bathroom. The huge king bed was extremely comfortable, 2 swimming pools are just steps away from the Villa and a good breakfast is available each morning with bloody good coffee. Right out the front of... My husband and I recently stayed for 6 nights. We upgraded to a Lanai room and thoroughly enjoyed it. A big room, marble bath, right next to the pool. All the staff were extremely pleasant, always smiling and saying hello. We were invited by management to a cocktail party (which unfortunately we couldn't attend), the staff arranged a birthday cake... More

A lovely relaxing resort to return to after a day of shopping, haggling and sightseeing. Staff were courteous, helpful and respectful. If you want to experience of the real Balinese lifestyle without the glitz and glamour of the larger resorts This is a resort for you !

Great location for a first stop off the plane. Beach across the road. Breakfasts amazing! Pool small though one was closed. Rooms tired and needed maintenance but clean enough. For a short stop before heading out to the more beautiful areas, sanur and jimbaran bay, it was great.

Alam Kulkul is a haven of tranquillity amongst the big hotels. It resembles a little Balinese village with paths winding through beautiful gardens a thatch-roofed villas. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in an Alam villa (109), and it was perfect for us. The bathroom is great with an indoor/outdoor sunken bath, (might be hard to get... More

While there are many things that could be improved at Alam Kul Kul (read through past reviews about mosquitoes, general upkeep, service) the price is very reasonable for the fantastic location that it shares with big price resorts and hotels. It's a laid-back place that is great if you intend to spend most of your time at the beach just... More

after reading many reveiws about mozzies at this hotel, we were relieved and amused to find that yes there were mozzies, but few enough to be really noticeable - and compared to what we have here in New Zealand - were a bit of a joke! Excellent service, room, ( Java Villa ) although veiwed others near the pool as... More

This is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed. The property is not that big but very well maintained and managed. The hospitality is great. The nightlife around Kuta is nice; this place is close to beach and nearby markets and Mall. We stayed in Alam Villa which has an outdoor bath attached. They offered free entry to... More
