When I walked into the Island Hotel, I thought to myself: "hats off to the photographer". I figured the pictures were either old, or his/her pictures did a great job at fooling the common eye. Honestly, the place looks a bit run-down. The thing I liked most was the bed. It was a comfortable matress. The room itself, the facilities... More

Spacious and clean dorms. They make your bed everyday, not sure if they changed the sheets, but they were very clean. The beds have curtains around them, personal reading lights and outlets. Breakfast was average, but they make a hell of a pizza for a decent price. The set up in the common area outside is great too. I met... More

We were excited to stay at this hotel due to the positive reviews, but it did not even meet our basic expectations. The hotel is hard to find as it is hidden away in an alley, the building is old and not kept up, the room was tiny with the most basic of amenities. We had the deluxe room and... More

We stayed here with a group of 6 for 3 nights in January2015. We met some awesome people here and will definitely stay again. Location is perfect for what most people want to do. Centre of a lot of shops and walking distance to major bars/restaurants. About a 15-20 min walk to the sky garden. This place has a wicked... More

This really is such a nice place but as girls we all felt extremely uncomfortable every evening one of the guys was working in the kitchen, I think his name was greday or something and he would invite all his local pals to the hostel and have beers with them in the cafe while smoking, shouting, getting drunk and they... I stayed in a private room with my friend which was very clean, good air con. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, other staff was rude and couldn't answer my questions. Wifi only works in the cafe and sometimes by the pool; and didnt always work. Food at the cafe was great! awesome location, close to beach, night life... More

I stayed here two nights at the beginning of my Bali trip. I arrived late in the evening and I was greeted by some young guys on the way to party. The "Cafe/ bar" was full with empty bear bottles. I was shown to the room which is not as nice as it makes the impression on their homepage. The... More

Originally I booked for a couple of nights and then stayed 5 nights. I went to Gili T for 9 days and now I have been back at the Island for another 2 weeks! The staff are so much fun and respectful and I left my valuables out and nothing has disappeared. The setting is a garden with an infinity... More

This is a nice well-located hostel (10 mins walk to the beach, 30 mins to the Kuta party area). Very clean, but the sheets were quite used so looked more grey than white (but were washed and smelled good). The common area was quite cozy. WiFi didn't work everywhere. The breakfast was basic (delicious bread with just a bit of... More

This hostel is honestly the best I've ever stayed in. Staying here set up my entire stay in Bali! The rooms are spacious, the beds are really comfortable and screened off with curtains, so there's far more privacy than you normally get in a dorm. There's plug points, reading lights and a nice roomy locker for every bed. The bathrooms... More
