Well, it's about 9 months since I last visited Aashaya Resort and what a transformation! This place has gone from the ugly duckling to the beautiful swan!! What a fabulous renovation job has been carried out here - the place just looks fabulous, the rooms, bathrooms, swimming pool and pool area all look amazing. The new restaurant is almost finished... We have spent several weekends at this beautiful resort. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The resort has been transformed since the renovations have been done. Beautiful setting, great food at very reasonable prices and lovely and efficient staff. Would highly recommend this resort.

We live in Bali, in The Seminyak area and believe it of not it can get very hectic. We took ourselves off to The east coast to this resort for the weekend, I actually feel as though I've been on holiday for a week, it is so serene, the gardens are just gorgeous, we stayed in a villa with an... At the end of the road at the ocean you find this lovely inn. The rooms are done with lots of little tasteful touches. The grounds are spacious and well planted. We understand the entire place is under new management and things are still improving and growing. Very nice pool to sit around, lots of covered space to sit and... More

We spend a weekend at Aashaya Jasri Resort after a friend recommended it. We were not disappointed. The new owners have done a superb job of renovating this glorious place. It has the feel of old Bali with all the modern comforts. Breakfast was excellent and our dinner was very romantic sitting at the small Bale overlooking the ocean. I... More

We can not recommend Ashaaya Jasri highly enough for family travel. We have just returned to Seminyak following a 4 night stay in Jasri to attend a family wedding at a nearby villa. Wayan and the staff welcomed us as family and took extra special loving care of our little 7mth old, with a type of hospitality that is so... More

in 2013 a very friendly australian couple who lived in Bali for a long time took over this resort and invested in a overhaul of the resort. With result. Beautiful gardens with ample of space to play and relax, great beds and good food. Nice cottages, renovated with a great sense for style. Much more than a 2 star we... More

After battling with the traffic and tourists of South Bali, it was a welcome relief to stumble upon Irene's Homestay. Surrounded by scented frangipanis and the lush tropical vegetation of East Bali, this small hotel is perfectly located. With the towering volcanoes to the north and the cool breezes of the Lombok Strait, the newly owned and renamed Aashaya, is... More

Irene Homestay is a great place to stay when in Jasri. The generous villa style accommodation is best with nice veranda, large bed, kitchenette and bathroom and air-con. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It has a small pool and restaurant. Jasri is close to Amplapra to the north and Candidasa and White Sandsa Beach to the south. Take... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
aashaya jasri resort sits on the site that was previously Irene’s Homestay. Designed to appeal to the experienced expat and international tourist alike, seeking the relaxing atmosphere of the old style Bali, away from frenetic tourist areas. Immersed instead in mountain views, jungle avenues and the sound of the surf, aashaya jasri resort is situated in Jasri, East Bali, where our lovely garden ends right at the ocean, where fishermen launch their boats and where local surfers enjoy the long ocean waves. Located just 15 minutes north of Candi Dasa, and a two hour scenic drive from Bali’s international airport, guests arrive at the water’s edge via a tranquil palm-fringed lane.Under new ownership, this longstanding favorite of those seeking the authentic Bali has undergone a complete transformation. ... more   less
