The Great Mountain View hotel is an oasis of peace and quietness in the middle of beautiful rice fields and has a splendid view over the Mount Agung. Staff is very friendly and rooms are sober but clean. Especially the contrast with the overcrowded south of Bali is overwhelming. A nice hotel in a typical Balinese atmosphere!

My experience in GMV has been nothing but excellent throughout my 5D4N stay here. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and the room was in very good condition. The room we stayed in had an amazing view of the rice paddy fields and the mountains. The hotel organised many things like a walk through the paddy fields,... More

After being driven down a long bumpy road which appeared to head into the country, we were impressed with the lovely rooms and spacious bathrooms. There is no air conditioning and it seemed too warm at first but we slept well until we awoke at 1:30 am to climb Mt. Agung. Service was excellent and the food was tasty and... More

We simply can’t say enough good things about the Great Mountain Views! From the moment our transfer met us at Padang Bai, we experienced the most fantastic and friendly service. Upon arrival, all the staff came out to greet us. The resort’s beautiful grounds and incredible views across the rice paddies and to the volcano are breathtaking. We booked the... More

We found this nice spot in dry season (March 2015) and have been the only ones. They super kind family has got some wonderful, good equiped bungalows with view to the mountain Gunung Agung and opened bathroom, terracce. Super clean and nice, directly in the ricefield. In the night time you can listen to the interesting "concert" of the frogs.... More

I recently spent 4 nights in the Great Mountain View with my husband at the start of our honeymoon & we absolutely loved it there. It's in a quieter part of Bali so it's perfect for anyone looking to unwind away from the crowds of Kuta. It's so peaceful up there & the views are incredible. On our arrival we... More

Very friendly familyrun place, very Nice Garden with beautiful stoneinlayed pavement. Restaurant with cheap excellent food and a beautiful wiew to terraced ricefields and Mt. Agung. The laud sound of tropical night with frogs and cicadas is memorable. Walk in the ricefields!

Beautiful location, very quiet, extraordinary friendly staff. Wayan kindly introduced me to the basics of rice paddies, a walk through them is definitely recommended. Also loved the countless swallows during the day, the frogs at night. In short, a wold away from the hustle of many other places in Bali. It has been mentioned here countless times - For the... Very secluded, private feel to the small resort with absolutely gorgeous gardens and view! Lush tropical vegetation created an atmosphere that you were truly away from it all! We loved the open air bathroom and the privacy of our room and were thankful for the mosquito netting. We made the mistake of leaving all of the lights on while we... More
