We arrived at Mimpi after two weeks of traveling through Bali and Java. We enjoyed our three-day stay enormously. The setting in the bay is awesome and the diving school was perfect. We enjoyed our diving trip (combined with snorkling for our kids) greatly. Getting there and away is relatively expensive. The remote location doesn't cater for a lot of... More

Mimpi Menjangen is an out of the way dive resort, but well worth the travel, most of the dives are by boat to Menjangen Island, which was fantastic, the vis was around 30mt, Mimpi run a great service, to some great dive spots, the DM's have great knowledge of the area, finding a huge amount of assorted fish life, great... family with three teenage boys enjoyed the dive trips, hot spring pools and open grass parks at this north west bali resort. June is still offpeak but July-Aug is busy period. many dive boats during peak season all bumping along the same dive sites, so i'm told. during my stay, it was just 2-3 boats. water this time clear, no... We stayed here in early June and the national park nearby was closed as apparently the dive resorts were boycotting it due to an increase in entrance fees. Whilst they kept explains the reason nobody apologised or seemed to understand that it totally ruined our time there as instead of diving the island we did a very boring dive (and... More

I had a really nice time at this resort. The room was fine. I shared with a mate, there were 2 beds and it was a good size room with large indoor/outdoor ensuite. The food was terrific. It was a fair walk from top of resort where the room was to the bottom pool and restaurant but the walk down... More

This was a gorgeous resort with spacious rooms in a beautiful setting setting with lots of little pools around the property. Free water refills were located in various stations around the property. Dinner was tasty and the service good. Although I gave this 5 stars I had 2 negative observations. One, the lighting in the rooms is for atmosphere but... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and used it as a halfway point between our resorts on the west coast and north coast. We stayed in a Patio Room which was functional and clean if a little Spartan. The bed was big and comfortable and the room was quiet. The facilities were excellent, the Hot Springs were exceptional. The food... More

Great location, great facilities and most likely just living off of its reputation from long ago. Whilst, I tend to be a little more critical and analytical due to my career within the hospitality industry, the hotel management's lack of standards is appalling. 1.The room given to us, backed up against very noisy staff member room taking their respective breaks;... We stayed two nights at Mimpi Resort in late April. The resort is set in beautiful tropical gardens, with hot spring pools, as well as two gorgeous normal pools, one of which overlooks the lagoon. The rooms are well equipped, very clean and well serviced. The dining area, although quite a walk away, also looks over the lagoon and wharf... More
