I am in and out of the Amed area often and decided to try Meditasi after eating at the fabulous restaurant. There is an air of tranquility about this place - a good feeling and an eye for detail that is very comfortable, and in a meditative state (really). The flair via decor and music made me feel like i... More

I want to return with enough friends to fill the four cottages. In its quiet simplicity Meditasi has all the comfort and beauty of Bali without the tourist overload. Can especially recommend the early morning fishing trip. More

I absolutely loved this place. Situated right on the beach, there are only 4 bungalows on offer. We stayed in the family one that had a queen and double bed inside and a day bed outside. The beds were extremely comfortable and mosquito nets reliable. You could have had a party in the outside bathroom; it is massive! I really... More

You know when you stay in places the you don't want to tell people about... because they will go there and then it will be busy and it won't be the same. This is one of those places. And Meditasi only has a handful of rooms, so it will never be busy (yay) but it might be full!! But it's... More

Somebody recommended this place as the perfect place to stay in Amed.. And it is, you have a great view from your bungalow, you can chill on your private sofa on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The view is [--] amazing, with colorful fishing-boats going out on the ocean. You also have your own private garden, which is very cute.... More

The last days of our travels we spent at Meditasi and finally found what we were looking for. Smiling buddha always gives you so much positive energy and offers you the best food and drinks at the restaurant. The rooms are amazing, with an additional bed on the balcony to enjoy the great view. It's a place to feel at... More

What a lovely place. Great views, snorkeling, food (oh yeah! Best in Bali by a stretch, unless you are a super-carnivore), excellent hosts and vibes. We had a great time there and if we had known, would have gone straight there and stayed longer. Smile on, smiling Buddha and Rasti, and sister Goddess of the kitchen. Fishing boats coming in... Meditasi was a treat from the Bali gods!! A beautiful setting, with creative decor, food, music and conversation. Set on the quiet coastline of Aas, you can watch the fisher boats appear on the horizon at dawn with the Buddha guiding them back to shore safely. The rooms are so beautifully designed and have an extra day bed for chilling... More

In the village of Aas, in the starkly beautiful area of Amed on the East Coast, you will find the unique "Meditasi" and Smiling Buddha Cafe. Volcano in the background, sail the ocean and watch the sunset behind Mt Agung. Snorkel or dive the Japanese wreck which sprouts corals of all shapes, colours and sizes, teeming with fish. Meditasi is... More

Don’t let the taxidrivers tell you it’s not worth the drive. Take the extra time, pay the extra dime, and go to Meditasi. It’s in the village of Aas, a small town with hardly any amenities and no internet or telephonesignal. The Meditasi bungalows are in beautiful secluded private gardens right at the seaside. The bungalows are spacious and have... More
