This is a gem in Bali with some of the best traditional food I've eaten. The fish is guaranteed fresh from the local fisherman that sail off each day from all long the coast. My strictly vegetarian partner was also more than satisfied - sometimes difficult in Bali with it's meat based diet. Ketut harvests much of the local ingredients... More

Life at Meditasi is pretty nice... You probably won't want to leave no matter how long you've spent there. The bamboo bungalows have a private, and unobstructed view out to the ocean, and watching the sun rise through your mosquito net in the morning is gorgeous. I think there's only 4 or 5 bungalows on site, so it's extremely peaceful... More

We spent five days in a bungalow and meditasi and really enjoyed our experience. The rooms are spacious and have a lovely day bed out in front where it's possible just to hang out. The staff are great and all very friendly and funny. The owner even invited us to participate in his once a year house blessing ceremony (we... More

We spend three nights in this resort. With no Wifi and no telephone!.The peace and loving care of the staff, the good energy of the place, the simple life of the fishermen of the area, makes of this a perfect spot for quiet meditation and inner exploration. Is a must!

We came to stay for two nights last week and just got stuck here...This is a perfect place for a simple life. The bamboo bungalows are right on the beach. Their bamboo construction up on stilts has them breathing beautifully in the sea breeze. As well as the king size bed with four poster mosquito net inside there is a... More

I really enjoyed staying at Meditasi and will be returning, next time for longer( and do the cooking class that is offered). It was peaceful (admittedly a quiet time of year in November), with no tv and computer access, so I had plenty of time to rest, contemplate, hey, even some meditation. Instead of tv I would lie on the... More

Come prepared! You've read the other reviews, so you'll know if this place is for you or not. Bring your sense of humour and adventure and you will be sure to enjoy your stay. I absolutely loved the creative restaurant food. Throughout Bali you get the 'tourist menu', but at Meditasi they have some very unusual creative dishes, prepared with... More

Yes beautiful spot but it is very difficult to get into the water over the precarious rocks. Hard rubber shoes would have helped. The rooms were very basic. When a guest complained about the smoking in the restaurant (huh, a yoga retreat?) the manager said that he had to respect the rights of smokers ie. him. A budget resort masquerading... More

Yes,‭ ‬Carolyn,‭ ‬many people in Indonesia smoke and it may not be a healthful habit but then neither is having a lot of stress.‭ ‬I prefer to follow our motto at Meditasi Bungalows‭ – “‬Live and let live.‭” You’re right that we don’t have conventional windows in our bungalows but we do have two large sliding doors,‭ ‬as well as...
