This is one of the better hotels in Ambon. It's oldfashioned and not always perfectly clean; when we stayed there our room had quite a few bugs and the bathroom was messy. Still, for Indonesian standards it's pretty good. The restaurant is okay, especially if you don't know your way around the city and don't feel like searching for a... More

Just what we were looking for-- comfortable, conveniently located and affordable but not pretentious. Also, the restaurant has good food at a reasonable price. You can tell this by the number of locals that eat there. Having those big trees in front gives it a nice sense of distance from the busy street.

Yes, it is somewhat worn especially in the flooring and rugs. Since I had at least three different rooms for short stays I can say that the room quality differs from room to room. Perhaps it's not representative but the room on the first floor was in pretty poor shape with quite a bit of water damage, etc. Subsequent rooms... More

The hotel is like Ambon itself, friendly but a little worn down. If you are just looking for a hotel that is clean, simple, good service and centrally located, this is the place. I have stayed here many times and it feels like visiting your old Auntie's apartment in Brooklyn, without the bagels. I will continue to stay at the... More

it is a bit tricky to find the hotel. They just put small name board in front of their restaurant. It is clean and comfortable. the room is clean and big enough to get good sleep quality. Breakfast was okay, you can choose between fried rice, bread or chicken porridge. Anyway, it is the best location if you need to... More

The rooms were refurbished lately, so the floor is new and it looked all quite modern and fine for us. Comfortable bed. The best thing is the service at this little hotel, friendly and very efficient. Our car for the airport was waiting for us at 5am after New Year`s Night. Safe driver too. We`d love to come back, Nicole&Keith

it is clean and the overall feeling is safe and cozy. We were there after stayed in hotel called Aman. Compared to this one, I was seriously happy that I've moved. The price of Mutiara was clearly more expensive than those of Aman;s. I remember we paid around 500.000-550.000 rupiah for standard room in Mutiara and way lesser in Aman,... More

I used to visit Ambon almost every month during whole year, and mostly I stayed in this hotel. It's an old hotel but most people on business travel choose to stay here because its center-located advantage, Governor's office is next door, and Central Bank is across the street. The hotel try to maintain cozy atmosphere in their small lobby, it's... More

Said to be the best city hotel in Ambon, I found it a bit improper with a city-girl standard. Many locals will advise this hotel, due to its strategic location, in the heart of Ambon. You can easily find coffee shops or great restaurants; app. 45min from airports, 30min from fantastic southern white beach, 10min from harbour to see the... More
