My wife and I was confirmed to cherish our honeymoon at the Kerala Backwater Lagoons. We had been long browsing differents Resorts & Hotels, when, finally we decided to visit this Palace at Alleppey a 2 hour car drive from Cochin. After spending a 2N/ 3D stay at the resort we are literally overwhelmed. The ambience is erotic, the service... more

There are many Hotels which freely uses the title 'Palace'. But the Hotel under review, Lake Palace truly lives upto its name. I had the good fortune of staying there in the month of December- bringing in the New Year - and it was a joyful experience. The ambience has a bit of Caribbean flavour to it. You need to... more

My family (Wife, < 2 year old daughter and I) stayed at the lake Palace for 2 nights and 3 days and the experience was fabulous. The property is only reachable by a boat/ferry. Lake Palace provides you the ride to their property from the Jetty Road at Alleppey. The property is very well maintained. The staff are helpful and... more

We happened to stay at Lake Palace after having a very nice stay at Munnar and Thekkady. We had seen the website and liked the place. But on arrival,we realised that this was no palace.Only the rates were of palace. The service and food was terrible. They had all kind of lame excuses for the horrors that we had to undergo during... more

We stayed at the Lake Palace as part of our honeymoon after staying on a Houseboat for one night and loved it! Beautifully peaceful. The cabins were clean , spacious and comfortable. As part of our package our room was decorated (see the pic!) and we had a candle light dinner, a speed boat ride and a sunset cruise. All... more

We stayed 2 nights at the lake palace resort. The location and the setting is terrific. Everything else is below par for a 4 star hotel. The staff were not friendly, did not understand English and they were hardly trained. In the buffett room, for 2 days running, the staff did not bring back the change until we asked. On... more

Having been to India twice in the last 2 years and stayed in 9 hotels this was the worst and most expensive hotel we have stayed in. The bathrooms were dirty, bedding was old and worn, and the food in the restaurent was terrible. They advestise a bar in their brochure, and also a 24 hr coffee shop, they were... more

We went for our honeymoon here and stayed in a water villa (doesnt really matter which cottage you stay in). IT is a really relaxing place. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a stressfree vacation at one place. It is in the midst of the vembanad lake, so the only transportation is by boat. They have... more

I'm surprised to read the unhappy reviews here, as our stay (albeit only for one night) was wonderful. The good things: -The layout is gorgeous. You take a 5-min boat to the hotel from the town, and there is a private lake and pool in the center of the grounds. Our chalet on the lake was very pretty, with the... more
