Coir Village resort is far off from Alapuzha.. it is almost cut off from city. Good place to relax and unwind , good place for travelers during last phase of their Kerela tour when one is tired and needs to relax before getting back to work. a lot also depends on which cottage one gets, as some of them can... Rooms okay, but no hot water available. No wifi. rooms have small terrace (no privacy) with view over the backwaters. Rooms do not have full double bed. Some of the hotel rooms only accessable by boat. Restaurant okayish. Breakfast simple. assessment does not take into account the price since hotel was visited in a package holiday. Price therefore unknown.

We had been here during ugadi time. Loved the serenity and seclusion of the place. One needs to take a short canoe ride to go from the reception to the hotel rooms. Canoe drivers are ys available whenever you want to go out. Our cottage had a private ferry ghat where the canoe picked and dropped us. A soothing music... More

Visited way back in 2001. very peaceful place. This is not around the city, at remote location. suited for those who want to hear flowing water sound when they come out of their room and relax in a calm and serene environment. When i visited, this place has nothing else to offer other than relaxing....I mean, there were no indoor... More

as other reviewers have pointed out , this is no where near Aleppey.... yes its dated, rooms tired, and quirky ( riverboat crossings to reception and your rooms ) but if you want somewhere to watch the river drift by outside your room ,swing in a hammock and drift off to sleep in a quiet location for a day in a... They have marked it wrongly (mostly with a sane mind) on the map. Makemytrip also marks and promotes wrongly. Its not at all in Alleppy town, its in Alleppy district, 40 km drive away in a remote village. Good for people directly going and killing time here, otherwise if you want to enjoy house boating and not booking the resort... More

Wonderful place and friendly staff but food is really poor. Resort needs to upgrade it's wifi .. Better router and better internet speed needed Needs to have more variety in food item served . I don't see food quality rating .. I would just give 1 out of 5 at most .

This quirky, government run hotel requires two annoying river crossings by punt to access rooms. Nevertheless, it was a terrific, peaceful resting post where a sit on the verandah meant time to unwind. There is little to do but watch the river float by. The linen and furniture had seen better days but this is a budget hotel and some... More

I stayed one night as part of Spice Trails of Kerala with Exodus. It is a pleasant location and we were able to swim in the river and have an early morning canoe trip for bird watching. It is also close to The Snake Temple and of course you can see coir ropes being made by the local women. The... More
