Visited way back in 2001. very peaceful place. This is not around the city, at remote location. suited for those who want to hear flowing water sound when they come out of their room and relax in a calm and serene environment. When i visited, this place has nothing else to offer other than relaxing....I mean, there were no indoor... More

as other reviewers have pointed out , this is no where near Aleppey.... yes its dated, rooms tired, and quirky ( riverboat crossings to reception and your rooms ) but if you want somewhere to watch the river drift by outside your room ,swing in a hammock and drift off to sleep in a quiet location for a day in a... They have marked it wrongly (mostly with a sane mind) on the map. Makemytrip also marks and promotes wrongly. Its not at all in Alleppy town, its in Alleppy district, 40 km drive away in a remote village. Good for people directly going and killing time here, otherwise if you want to enjoy house boating and not booking the resort... More

Wonderful place and friendly staff but food is really poor. Resort needs to upgrade it's wifi .. Better router and better internet speed needed Needs to have more variety in food item served . I don't see food quality rating .. I would just give 1 out of 5 at most .

This quirky, government run hotel requires two annoying river crossings by punt to access rooms. Nevertheless, it was a terrific, peaceful resting post where a sit on the verandah meant time to unwind. There is little to do but watch the river float by. The linen and furniture had seen better days but this is a budget hotel and some... More

I stayed one night as part of Spice Trails of Kerala with Exodus. It is a pleasant location and we were able to swim in the river and have an early morning canoe trip for bird watching. It is also close to The Snake Temple and of course you can see coir ropes being made by the local women. The... More

The initial impression of this place was very favourable. The bungalows are set on a series of islands which you have to be punted out to, the backwater scenery is exactly as you'd expect from the guide books and the lunch was very acceptable. However, the rooms were no more than average and the service was poor. The worst aspect... More

It was terrible experience at Coir Village, Alleppey. I have booked this hotel (AC Cottage - 12 March 2014) through Heena Tour & Travels, Mumbai and believe their suggestion of this hotel for which I suffer a lot. First of all this resort is not in Alleppey. It is one and half hour drive from Alleppey. You (your driver) can... More

Initial impressions of the resort were very favourable. Going across the water by ferry to reception and then to our rooms had us looking forward to relaxing by the water and enjoying the scenery. Unfortunately we found ourselves in a room at the back of the resort. Our view was a derelict building and a public latrine! All morning we... More
