What a unique experience. The staff were very professional and excellent. We had the boat to ourselves, and enjoyed having our own private chef! Our room was clean, the A/C only on at night but with the breeze we didn't mind. If your captain suggests buying some tiger prawns- do it! These lobster-sized prawns were expertly cooked and we devoured... More

Boat experience was awesome. On board food cooked by cook Ajesh was good. He has given us very tasty veg and non veg food. Beetroot served by him was very good in taste and entire range of food served by him made our stay more comfortable. One hour session of canoeing was wonderful. U get to know about people living... The amazing back waters at Aleppey were our main reason for visiting Kerala and the River Escapes Houseboat overnight cruise was excellent. We had a gold package, however thought the crewing was overdone with a captain, chef and a waiter for just my wife and I until I read the survey notice for the vessel which is displayed on the... When you're on a boat, you're on a boat. You're within the confines of port, starboard and the fort and tuft or whatever the other bits are. If you're to be stuck on a boat you wish it to be a positive experience. If it is negative where the hell do you go? There are a lot of negative houseboats... More

Greeted by 3 staffs and all were very friendly. We took, day cruise which starts from 12noon till 5pm with welcome drink(tender coconut), lunch and snack & tea time. Double deck houseboat but not tv or media facilities. That’s ok since we were there for half day cruise only. Beautiful and awesome experience travelling on the backwater by enjoying the... More

After reading previous review I decided that a 3 night trip was the best. The boat was comfortable and everything worked. I was lucky that my boat had an upstairs seating area from where I could watch the scenes go by slowly. The boat goes slow enough to get good pictures of the people and life on the back waters.... We had a group of 6, 2 couples and 2 friends, and boarded our boat around 11am. We were welcomed with fresh coconut drinks, shown our rooms and promptly departed onto the backwaters of lagoons, lakes and canals. It is very relaxed cruising taking in other houseboats but more especially, the lush green flora, rice paddies and local village life... More
