You won't find luxury accommodations at Billingsly Creek Lodge and Retreat, but you will find a spectacular setting (really, it is astonishingly beautiful and relaxing), friendly and helpful owners, and peace and solitude nearly unmatched. We took our kids and met some friends there after reading a nice review in Sunset Magazine, and we have plans to return ASAP.

An oasis in the dramatic Magic Valley landscape, Billingsley Creek Lodge and Retreat truly lives up to the "retreat" in its name. Nestled beside the creek, the setting is a great place to revive the soul, breathe, relax, see trout jump, watch butterflies and generally feel 10 years younger by the time you leave. There are a variety of rooms... More

A place where you go to disappear, one of life's treasures. Koi pond, bird watching, and the magical sound of the roaring creek. Spent 3 days here, shot a thousand photos, visited wetlands, the gorge, and the majestic Shoshone falls... Thank you so much for one of the most wonderful times, we are blessed. My husband and I have stayed there twice. It is truly a place of peace and tranquility. The cabins and rooms are not 5 star big city quality. They are dated and cozy. If you are expecting turn down service with a chocolate on your pillow you better look elsewhere. To make your experience successful bring some wine, cheese, crackers,... More

We liked everything. We had a suite with a kitchen enabling us to save money with food expenses. It is very reasonably priced for such pleasant and relaxing accommodations. When we had travel problems they gave up an evening assisting us, not because the customer is always right, but because they are interesting and caring people. They provide an out... More

From the moment we arrived, we had spectacular service and gorgeous surroundings. Joan and Gail made us feel so comfortable as if we lived there! The creek right in front of the cottage was magnificent, and sitting in the hot tub right at the rushing water was priceless. To top it off, they went the extra mile to bake and... More

We LOVED the Hemingway cabin and the whole property. We changed our minds about going out to diinner after arriving here--we didn't want to leave this charming and peaceful place. Instead we ate cheese and crackers on the swing between rushing creeks. The cabin had a nice porch across the front where we ate our breakfast. The owner was gracious... More

Had cabin #7 right on the creek. Listening to the water was very nice & walking around the grounds in the morning was also very nice, but for me that was it. I felt like everything was old & dirty. I've stayed in similar places but not like the Creek. One thing that i really didn't like was the lumpy... More

I first saw the Lodge in a Sunset Magazine article. We had been wanting to check out this area of ID since we moved here a few years ago. I spoke with Gail on the phone and she helped me pick out a lovely cabin, #10, with a nice view and some privacy but overlooking the creek. We were not... More

We've stayed twice - two adults and two teens. Friendly owners, decent rooms for the price, nice breakfast - but the grounds are amazing. Billingsley Creek runs right by the cabins and motel rooms, and the back area is a place we just want to be in. We stopped for a night in 2012, and went a little out of... More
