Set in the old Governor's residence (originally built in 1995), the Terres Rouge does have a unique, old-world colonial charm about it. The owners have done a good job with the lodge/adventurer/indochina vibe for sure. Each room is well decorated with a unique antique, and our bathroom was an 'outdoor' stone room which was very cool. Love the restaurant overlooking... More

Having wanted to visit Ratanakiri for many years we chose the Terre Rouge as our base. I had built up an opinion from what i had read and from photos but on arrival I found my self totally disillusioned. It wasnt really what I expected. We found a very modern hotel veering on the side of a boutique style. Our... More

A great location in a stunning old building with lovely gardens and huge rooms. It is the priciest place to stay and eat in the town, however without a little TLC soon, fading charms will be lost for good. Restaurant served great food, good cocktails, had great music and good staff. It was full and had a nice atmosphere on... More

Terres Rouge is probably one of the nicest and the most upscale places to stay with in Ban Lung. Location is good (directly on lakeshore and just a couple hundred meters from the dining night market, however not in city center - 15 min on feet). The whole setting with the cottages in a lush garden is very nice and... More

We stayed there for. 2 days in December. Wonderful hotel from the old days... so a complete remodeling of the rooms would be necessary. Therefore only a reasonabel and suitable place. However, it is still the best place in that area, decent food, small but lovely spa, friendly staff.

We stayed here 2 nights and visted the tribal villages in the area. The surroundings of the lodge are quite messy and looked like a building site. The lodge can of course not help this. The lodge itself has a nice atmosphere at first sight but after a few moments you can see that there is quite a bit of... More

We had a good time at this lodge. You are paying a premium for the room but its worth it as the rooms are very nice, staff are friendly and the food/drinks are good and moderately priced. The restaurant area is very nice and overlooking the water. Keep in mind you are in the middle of nowhere cambodia so its... More

Terres Rouges is my refuge from the dirt and dust of Cambodia. To those who must spend significant time in this country annually, it's a haven to return to for a good glass of wine, and serene surroundings so many km away from the oft traveled routes most take between Siem Reap - Kompong Saoum (Sihanoukville) - Phnom Penh. The... More

The room was clean, the pool was great, the cocktails were delicious, the landscape was beautiful. But for this price, which is expensive for the Cambodian province, I expected more. The customer service was lukewarm from the manager and the restaurant staff. The restaurant got our dinner order wrong, the food was boring, and everything tremendously overpriced for the Cambodian... More

46 US dollars a night for a guesthouse in banlung, cambodia? not worth it, considering the room quality and the service provided room didn't even have A/C, paint was falling off the walls and bathroom was just what you'd expect from a guesthouse in cambodia. staff was not particularly friendly or helpful either. definitely not coming back.
