Greeted with a nice fresh watermelon drink and a cold towel after a ride from Phnom Penh. The hotel only have 3 rooms and my room was fantastic! They have a French decor and a very convenient bathroom. The lady who works there was fantastic! She will provide you any information you need to know about the region! :)

We have just spent three fantastic nights at la java bleue staying in the Chinese room (with the balcony). The room was beautiful. Jean Claude is a great host and the food produced from his restaurant is excellent and could be served at the best restaurants in the world.

We had a great visit at La Java Bleue. This is a perfect place to sit on the terrace, sip some wine (or a martini), and watch Kampot go merrily by. Jean-Claude, one of the managers, was a total character, sharing drinks and stories with us as he helped us arrange a variety of adventures and basic transportation. He's also... More

A very very nice little hotel. We got the chinese room - funny and beautiful at the same time. Dolly and Jean Claude are a great team!!!!! If I come back to this lovely city again, I"ll book a room to be sure I can stay at La Java Blueue, because there is only 3 rooms.

We booked 2 nights at this. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. However the air conditioning unit was far too small and poorly positioned to adequately cool the room (previous reviews have also mentioned this). The room also had a upright fan which we had to use together with the air conditioning but it didn't really make a massive... More

I arrived at the hotel with friends. To find that I messed up my booking and had booked for the following week. Entirely my fault and the Australian lady at reception was very helpful and suggested an alternative guest house down the road which luckily had rooms .I stayed there for two nights and then transferred to the Java Blue. My... More

I stayed in La Java Bleue hotel in March. The staff gave me a warm welcome! My chinese room was spacy and beautiful decorated. I loved the badroom. It also had a nice balcony with a view on Kampot town. Breakfast was good and diner was execellent. I can recommend the mixed seafood! The frensh guy is very passionate on... More

Kampot has an edge of world type feel, hot, dusty, peppered with empty buildings and stray dogs - yet it's strangely seductive and compelling with new bars, cafes and restaurants popping up. It may be a classic 'visit now before Costa Coffee comes down' type place. Java Blue should be a gem but sadly the operation falls well short of... More

This choice was my 1st real mistake in selecting a place during my whole time in Cambodia. The price shouldn't be more than $35 for the location & lack of service. I don't think they have their wifi installed correctly so there was no internet or Facebook available for images. It was quite an inconvenience always going to a restaurant... More
