We have stayed here 3 times in a VIP room, so to be fair we cannot comment on the other rooms. However we have noted improvements every time we have returned. They are making a effort to train younger members of staff and there has been a good improvement in their English. The VIP rooms are large, super fridge, flat... More

Kampot Diamond 'Hotel' was not good. We'll start with the positives, the room was large with lots of natural light, it wasn't right in town but it was just a short walk away and free secure moped parking! First we arrived about midday, there was a giant cockroach in our poorly furnished funky smelling room, smelt like drains. I went... More

Large hotel (6 floors). Stayed on the 4th floor. Room spacious, no safety box, had to move bedside table to find power plug. Bathroom clean. Lift didn't work for a few hours. Breakfast terrible, very little choice, took 40 minutes to arrive. No other Westerners in hotel. Staff speak very little English. Was there on a World Expeditions Tour. Surely there... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in, was on a Wendy Wu tour and they bought us here. Place was filthy and some one had smeared faeces on the wall. The place should be closed down. Thank god it was one night only. Go else where.

On a Wendy Wu Tour in September 2014, we stayed at this hotel for one night. This is not a slur on Wendy Wu Tours because the tour and the other hotels we stayed at were most satisfactory. Here is a list of the things that were wrong with the room we stayed in:- There was a huge amount of... More

We were on a tour and I'm guessing that this was the best hotel available in the town but it wasn't great. Clearly the hotel was not used to tourists. The bathroom was dimly lit and you felt as if you were entering a 70's room complete with a red sink. The sign on the back of the bedroom door... More

We were meant to be staying at Borey Bokor Hotel in Kampot but after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and looking at the rooms we decided to look elsewhere. Our guide suggested the Kampot Diamond Hotel and we were very pleased with this option. The staff were very polite and efficient even though they had limited English. Our room was... More

The Diamond is a large hotel so it is sometimes easier to find a room here than the more popular hotels/guest houses in and around Kampot. If bathroom cleanliness is very important, best to stay at Kampot Riverside Hotel or Mea Culpa. I cleaned my bathroom on arrival and asked for the blocked shower drain (full of hair!!) to be... Bed size reasonable, an easy chair in the room ( a rarity ), bathroom reasonable, cleanliness acceptable. No hair dryer and none to be borrowed from reception. Staff pleasant but very little English. Breakfast was mainly geared to Asian customers. I selected the "Americain" and it was awful, almost in edible & coffee not much better.
