We were on a tour and I'm guessing that this was the best hotel available in the town but it wasn't great. Clearly the hotel was not used to tourists. The bathroom was dimly lit and you felt as if you were entering a 70's room complete with a red sink. The sign on the back of the bedroom door... More

We were meant to be staying at Borey Bokor Hotel in Kampot but after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and looking at the rooms we decided to look elsewhere. Our guide suggested the Kampot Diamond Hotel and we were very pleased with this option. The staff were very polite and efficient even though they had limited English. Our room was... More

The Diamond is a large hotel so it is sometimes easier to find a room here than the more popular hotels/guest houses in and around Kampot. If bathroom cleanliness is very important, best to stay at Kampot Riverside Hotel or Mea Culpa. I cleaned my bathroom on arrival and asked for the blocked shower drain (full of hair!!) to be... More

Bed size reasonable, an easy chair in the room ( a rarity ), bathroom reasonable, cleanliness acceptable. No hair dryer and none to be borrowed from reception. Staff pleasant but very little English. Breakfast was mainly geared to Asian customers. I selected the "Americain" and it was awful, almost in edible & coffee not much better.

Positives -VIP room clean and large -Bed was actually a king sized bed. -full sized working fridge in room -AC worked well Negatives -Wifi worked about 30% of the time - breakfast is horrible. All western items but poorly made. Wish I could have Khmer pork rice or noodle soup. - location is not a nice walk at night and... More

When I arrived the lifts were not working, so had to lug the bags up three flights of stairs! The room was a good size and clean. WiFi on tap. The restaurant had no appeal at all for me to stay in and eat dinner, a fairly pokey, impersonal T shaped room with two television competing against one another. I... More

This was a lovely hotel. initially our room hand a broken lock to the door which led to the balcony but after talking to the staff we were shifted to a more secure room. The initial room also had a broken shower which I managed to fix up before we were relocated to our new room. The rooms were large... More

I stayed at this hotel in the beginning of September. There are some really good things: The room is spacious, all clean and has a nice bathroom. I think all rooms have a balcony with a great view. There is a small refridgerator but no safe in the room. Breakfast was supposed to be included - but only three Khmer... More

This hotel was good and close to the markets. The staff have very little English which is only a problem if you need something. The best thing at this hotel is the shower but you just have to wait a while till it gets hot. The worst thing is the breakfast but this is easily made up for by going... More

Kampot is an exotic little city between Phnom Penh and the coast, with its own magic. I ended up at this hotel because friends were staying there, and I was glad I did. The room was extremely clean, the air conditioning and WiFi were highly efficient, and the restaurant downstairs was fine. The mattress was on the hard side, but... More
