It makes sense to me that Western people always do business much much better than local people and this place is an example. The owner is an American man. He is so thoughtful and make everything so convenient for his customers. There is an indoor bar that you can get beer, alcohol, Tv, some mini games and 1 $ breakfast.... More

My friend and I stayed in a private double room, the bed was very comfy. The staff was super friendly and helpful in organizing a motorbike, tuk tuk, and map of the area. If you stay here you should definitely eat here. The food portions are very generous and delicious!

It's one of the places where it's hard to leave. The owners are very friendly and talkative. Poker nights, pool table and great food! No big parties in the evenings, just casual sit-togethers (take that as a pro or a con). Would love to go back.

The Magic Sponge Guesthouse is located right next to Salt Workers Monument roundabout (close to the station where buses stop). I felt very welcome coming to this place. I spent 2 nights in the penthouse room. If I had more time, I would have stayed longer. Manager was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean, the showers and bathroom... More

This quaint little place is run by the owner who lives in the hotel and his very pleasant staff. The prices are good and the food portions are huge. The bar is always playing a movie in English during the day. Someone asked to see some knew and the reply was "no you're on vacation" At night they play music.... More

I have been a guest here several times now. I always head for the Sponge whenever I'm coming to Kampot because I know what to expect: great hospitality, megga sized and super tasty meals and so much more ! I stayed right at the beginning if August and was lucky to get a room so my advice is to phone... More

Cute, clean and well appointed rooms are just the tip of the iceberg! The hotel is set in such a beautiful garden you'll never want to leave. Plus, the food is fantastic and comes in huge portions. The owner William is a true gem offering excellent advice and interesting conversation and always with a big smile. And the whole place... More

Rooms are furnished, very comfortable and relatively cheap. Awesome bar and restaurant which has the cheapest beer during happy hours ($0.50!). William and his staff are very accommodating and helpful as well. They can help you arrange for buses, motorcycle rentals and even certain tours. Don't miss their live music night every Wednesday! You should make a booking before you... More

This place is very clean and good value and William is a lovely and helpful guy. My only tip for travellers is consider what you want from kampot- if you want to be in the town this is your best bet. However we went to kampot for a more rural/riverside experience which is better achieved in other places. If you... More
