We weren't going to visit Kampot at all until we took a look at the accommodation available. We found this resort and thought it looked like fun so made a special trip for 2 nights. As soon as we rode our hired motos into the countryside and saw the resort, we wish we could have stayed longer. This place is... More

Ganesha is well out of Kampot but this isn't really a problem. Motos and tuk tuk rides into Kampot only take 15 minutes and you can borrow bikes from Ganesha and cycle along the quiet dirt roads into town in about 45 minutes. The nearby villages seem to remain very rural and taking a walk or bike ride around the... More

A year ago a friend of a friend described this place to me ... but I forgot the name of the place. Fast forward 12 months and after several failed attempts to book a place to stay over Chinese New Year weekend (everywhere was fully booked) I began trawling the search engines only to be reminded of the name I'd... Stayed in the yurt for a couple of nights at the end of our holiday. A perfect place to relax by the river in wonderful countryside. Spent our time walking round the local area visiting local villages, a sunset boat trip with Dirk (the owner) and booked a tuk tuk for the day to visit Kep and Kampot. Very friendly... More

We stayed here one night in the big hut and found it Nice but expansive. You pay 36 dollars for a room without bathroom nor sheets which is expansive for Cambodia and the shared bathroom isn't very Nice. But the location of the resort is very Nice I must say ! More

Our group of 7 stayed at Ganesha for 2 nights and came away impressed. For those wanting the aircon/ swimming pool type of accommodation, this is not for you. Instead, you get to sleep inside mosquito nets, bathe in cold water and depend on the mercy of the breezes to cool the room. The views of beautiful rice fields and... More

Just back from a wonderful couple of weeks travelling through Cambodia - and our stay at Ganesha was the undoubted highlight. Four idyllic days of riverside bliss.... Sure, as others have pointed out, the facilities are basic, but they are true to the owners 'eco-tourism' ideals, clean and functional. Far more importantly the staff are attentive and helpful, and make... More

Unfortunately, I discovered the Ganesha Riverside Eco Resort only towards the end of my trip & could therefore only stay 2 days, but I really loved it. I stayed in the Khmer house because the yurt & tribal huts were not available, and had my own bathroom (basic but very clean). I spend lovely evenings with Dirk, the owner, and... More

After arriving home ,to Australia from Cambodia Ganesha resort will remain as a highlight of our trip and it will become a regular spot which I intend to frequent on future asian trips even if it means going out of my way to enjoy this oasis .Whilst taking into account we are in asia and are traveling to experience the... Arriving back in Kampot, I was directed to stay in the township but something made me opt for somewhere closer to nature. Vegetarian menu, ecologically responsible and perfect location. Don't be alarmed by the seemingly rough road to the door, you will be greeted warmly, served with utmost attention and then you won't want to leave! Rooms are basic but... More
