A bit out of the way (but not too far) the Mea Culpa is an absolute gem not only in Kampot, but in all our SE Asia travels. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, it's hard to believe you're only paying $20 per night. The beds are large and comfy, with fantastic pillows. The breakfast is cheap and delicious, and their... We believed that the Mea Culpa was our best find in Cambodia. We arrived in Kampot with intentions of staying elsewhere, however, that was closed due to weather damage, our Tuk Tuk driver Rany took us to several other options but recommended we have a look at the Mea Culpa. As soon as we drove in we knew we needed... More

We arrived here without a booking but as it (and the whole of Kampot) was very very quiet there was plenty of choice of rooms. We chose the large downstairs room in the further building which was HUGE and spotless, with a seperate hallway seperating the bathroom and bedroom, and a large terrace. We did ask to change to a... People come here and end up staying for weeks. I can see why. We booked in for a week and are finishing up our second week now, getting ready to head to Viet Nam. Lovely rooms and grounds. The staff are super friendly and the wifi is the best I have seen in one month traveling Cambodia. Their restaurant makes... More

I love staying at Mea Culpa, it's a home away from home when I need a break from the concrete jungle that is Phnom Penh. Comfy spacious rooms and a peaceful garden are lovely to enjoy. Services are easily accessible from here, great meals in the restaurant, free bicycle rental and easy to access moto hire for when you want... More

Really clean and funky rooms with great bathroom, bed and DVD player. Location is good 10 minute walk to the action but easily navigated. Food in restaurant is great and every table has a can of Off bug spray which was a really nice touch (and practical). Staff are friendly.

I had a really nice stay. Super friendly and helpful stuff, every time all smiles. No matter, if i asked for booking a bus ticket with a specific company (they even din’t charge a booking fee , which is highly uncommon around SEA) or for late check out - everything was easy going. Rooms are clean by west standards, nice... More

This guesthouse is on the edge of Kampot town centre but since Kampot isnt big that doesnt matter. Its about a 10 minute walk along the riverfront to the main restaurant strip. The staff here are exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive. The included breakfast was very generous (my wife and I usually shared one) and, while we didnt otherwise eat... More

We were delighted by the service, the food and our room. Our stay in Kampot was memorable and the staff at Mea Culpa have played a very important role in making it magical. The hotel is located in a quiet area. The dining area is cozy and the pizza (yes, we cheated a bit by not eating cambodian food) is... More

Mea Culpa is an apt name for this hotel. It may have been mostly their fault that we loved Kampot as much as we did. Our room and attached bathroom was big with high ceilings and was nice, bright, and clean. There was a comfortable king sized bed, large wardrobe for clothes, a seating area with a table and chairs... More
