We had stayed at Mea Culpa four years ago and chose it again. It is one block back from the main street and so nice and quiet with no scooter traffic. The building is colonial style with an attractive eating terrace set beside a green garden. We had a twin room on the second floor. The rooms open onto a... More

Mea Culpa truly is a perfect little spot in Kampot. Within walking distance from everything. Clean and comfortable rooms with good food available. And a really friendly owner! Will be back for sure!!!

Very nice peaceful guesthouse on a large property near the riverfront, only a few minutes down from Kampot nightlife. The rooms are clean, comfortable, with good amenities (AC, fan, WiFi, access to free coffee/tea and a refrigerator). There's a large garden restaurant with good food (see the other reviews). I booked a room, and owner Ben later contacted me that... More

I traveled by taxi from Sihanoukville to Kampot on the south coast of Cambodia to stay at Mea Culpa, loosely translated in today's lingo as "my bad".This is said with apologies to Latin scholars who are aware that the actual meaning is through my fault. In any event,an Irishman named Ben O'Reilly has a delightful guesthouse a block off the river and... I've just returned from a wonderful few days in Kampot - a delightful little place to kick-back and do very little. Mea Culpa was everything and more I was expecting. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly and attentive staff, and a peaceful location just 2 minutes by bike from the bars and restaurants on the riverfront. The owner - Ben, is... More

Quiet, clean, helpful staff, 6 min walk from downtown, big rooms, highly recommended. Not much more to say about the place, so I'll type until I make up my 200 minimum... erm.. I think its coming soon... here it is

Stayed at Mea Culpa for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, nice size, quiet and comfortable. Rooms have AC and ceiling fan. The staff were very nice and helpful. We accidentally left out iPhone charger behind in the room and they even sent a driver to Sihanoukville to deliver it to us. I would definitely... More

Perfect. I know this is a strong word, but Mea Culpa is simply divine. The staff is excellent, the owner sweet, the location central and the rooms/grounds well planned with attention to detail. Super clean and affordable for a family of four with free bikes made Mea Culpa one of our favorite places in our four months of SE Asia... More

We rocked up to Mea Culpa on the basis of trip adviser reviews and were not disappointed. We had a room on the second floor that was roomy, clean and comfortable. The common area had tea and coffee making facilities. The grounds were surrounded by a high fence, with covered open air eating facilities, making it a very relaxed place... More
