I've just returned from a wonderful few days in Kampot - a delightful little place to kick-back and do very little. Mea Culpa was everything and more I was expecting. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly and attentive staff, and a peaceful location just 2 minutes by bike from the bars and restaurants on the riverfront. The owner - Ben, is... More

Quiet, clean, helpful staff, 6 min walk from downtown, big rooms, highly recommended. Not much more to say about the place, so I'll type until I make up my 200 minimum... erm.. I think its coming soon... here it is

Stayed at Mea Culpa for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, nice size, quiet and comfortable. Rooms have AC and ceiling fan. The staff were very nice and helpful. We accidentally left out iPhone charger behind in the room and they even sent a driver to Sihanoukville to deliver it to us. I would definitely... More

Perfect. I know this is a strong word, but Mea Culpa is simply divine. The staff is excellent, the owner sweet, the location central and the rooms/grounds well planned with attention to detail. Super clean and affordable for a family of four with free bikes made Mea Culpa one of our favorite places in our four months of SE Asia... More

We rocked up to Mea Culpa on the basis of trip adviser reviews and were not disappointed. We had a room on the second floor that was roomy, clean and comfortable. The common area had tea and coffee making facilities. The grounds were surrounded by a high fence, with covered open air eating facilities, making it a very relaxed place... More

You can walk to the main group of restaurants in about five minutes, or there are free bicycles. The common areas have a drip filter coffee machine, big fridge and seating. The gardens are lovely, and it is a pleasure to spend a few days exploring Kampot while staying at Mea Culpa. I don't think you can find better!

An excellent little hotel and great value, even after adding breakfast. One of the high points of our stay was the freshly baked bread (from the pizza oven) at breakfast. The rooms are simple but clean and bright, and we especially enjoyed the common areas by the bar where you could have a glass of wine or just sit and... More

Located a 10 minutes walk from the giant durian roundabout and a 1 minute walk from the riverside this is a gem of a guesthouse. The local staff are friendly and Ben, the owner, cooks a mean pizza in their wood fired oven. Their beef lok lak is excellent too, with the tenderest beef I've had anywhere in SE Asia.... More

A bit out of the way (but not too far) the Mea Culpa is an absolute gem not only in Kampot, but in all our SE Asia travels. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, it's hard to believe you're only paying $20 per night. The beds are large and comfy, with fantastic pillows. The breakfast is cheap and delicious, and their...
