This hotel meets all the requirements for any traveler. Great in-town location, warm friendly staff, ample parking, spacious rooms with high ceilings (comfortable beds), breakfast and a wine & cheese evening gathering, all for a great value. Stayed with family, had two rooms on first floor. Simply a wonderful experience, would highly recommend. This will be my only choice of... More

Very characterful hotel with period furnished rooms - very boutique but practicalities need some attention. No plug in the wash hand basin, five minutes or more for the hot water to appear, no accessible electrical points for one's gadgets. A thorough refit would make this a great place to stay.

An awesome find! Yes, it's in an old downtown bldg but that's part of the charm. A real value for the price. Great home base for business travel. Nice touch with the evening wine and cheese. Plenty of options offered for B'fast. And if the place is haunted the ghosts are very friendly.

We had an excellent stay here and it was just what we wanted. The manager was even kind enough to go to the pastry shop they use and get us fresh pastries the next morning. We also enjoyed hearing about the history of the building as I thought I had seen a friendly ghost on the second floor. We will... More

It's a lovely old hotel that has been lovingly restored. Our room, with 2 Queen beds, was spacious enough, clean, and featured high ceiling and hardwood flooring. Having said this, I would only recommend it for it's location: downtown near the government buildings, courthouse and a plethora of mostly youth-oriented restaurants. Also, only 2 blocks from the train station. However,... More

Some times. I get tires of drab big box hotels and I want something with character. The Biltmore in downtown Greensboro fits the bill. Small, charming, with history the nicely run hotel in the city center is very reasonably prices. Nice furnished and staff is helpful. The only downside like with many older properties is the windows remain single pain... More

I am so glad I stayed at this hotel. It has a lot of history and the staff are wonderful and hospitable. Ask about the hotel history and you won't be disappointed. The breakfast pastries are superb. You feel like family when you stay here. It beats staying at one of the big chains for sure.

On a business trip, my first thought was - I wish I had gone with the Marriott. But, then I realized - it felt more like I was visiting a friend or staying at grandma's house. The staff did not provide customer service, they provided hospitality. There is a lot of history in the property and the staff are eager... More

We stayed at the Biltmore for NCA&T’s homecoming, the location was great. The staff at this hotel is wonderful, friendly, and efficient and gives it a home like feeling. The hotel is truly historic, down to the elevator. We had a King on the first floor; the room was roomy, had a mini refrigerator and came with bottled water. The... More
