We recently stayed at the Troy Bumpas for one night. It was our first b&b experience and we had a wonderful time. Everything was immaculate and beautiful. We stayed in the Nina room and loved the double bath with a whirlpool most of all- I would highly recommend the room for a romantic getaway. The Troy Bumpas has a sense... more

B&B's once caused me to hesitate due to privacy, security, food, and location issues, but this place completely changed my mind. The room was beautiful, as was the entire property and neighborhood. The staff was helpful and welcoming; the pooches were, too. The menu was great. If I ever return to the area, I'm definitely trying for the Troy-Bumpas again.... more

This is only the second time I've stayed at a B&B, preferring some of the anonymity of a hotel atmosphere since I travel quite a bit. However, this place has changed my mind. I absolutely loved it! I needed a hotel within walking distance to UC-Greensboro so did a search online and looked at many options. This one was perfect,... more

As other reviewers have said it is GORGEOUS. It just did not have the friendly atmosphere of other B&B's we stayed on on this trip. There are a lot of rules which are stated as soon as you get there: no red wine in rooms, don't wipe makeup off with towels, be at breakfast promptly or it will be removed... more

During fall break I took my son to NC to visit colleges. Wanting to get a feel for the city environment near ELON University, we booked one night in Andrea's Troy Bumpas Inn near downtown Greensboro. We were thrilled with our third floor suite - two bedrooms with a shared bath. The home is probably Civil War era and has... more

From the moment I arrived I felt as thought it was home. Friendly greeting, quick tour before being taken to room. House "rules" were quickly explained but I appreciated the nicely framed info in my room as well as the 3-ring binder (info about the Inn, Greensboro, restaurants, etc.). Free internet service is something you normally don't find in a... more

I stayed at Troy-Bumpas Inn over Labor Day weekend. I'm very picky about where I stay. I usually only stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. Greensboro doesn't have any high end hotels so I decided to try a bed and breakfast. After reading reviews on trip advisor, Troy-Bumpas looked to be the best. I arrived around 7:30 pm and... more

I enjoyed my stay at the Troy Bumpass, and will return. The furnishings are perfect for the era and all the rooms immaculate. I loved the little bios and family pictures of the three sisters who used to live there. The bed was quite comfy, not too hard and not too soft. Andrea, the owner, was gracious and not overly... more

The Troy Bumpus by far the best B&B in Greensboro! Located near the top attractions and restaurants in Greensboro, it holds a romantic and peaceful atmosphere for a perfect getaway! I thoroughly enjoy my stay every time that I am in Greensboro. Immediately upon walking into the B&B, it feels like home. I have always been warmly greeted by the... more

Stayed at the Troy Bumpass over UNC-G parent's weekend. After reading the reviews online, I was very excited to be staying there. However, my stay there left a bit to be desired...First off, I arrived around 4 p.m. ( check in is 3 p.m. and after) , to a locked, empty house. After walking around the house and knocking at... more
