This is the best place to stay in Ouzoud. No excessive luxury, but nice rooms and in a traditional Moroccan style. The cascades are really impressive. We hired the guide from the Riad and can warmly recommend him. He took us on a wonderful walk and told us about the environment and the people. We also had dinner at the... more

We spent 3 nights at the riad and really enjoyed it. The location is incredible, right by the top of the waterfalls. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Hesham and Abdel Kabir who spoke very good English. The owner, Patrick, didn't seem very comfortable speaking English and was happier chatting in French to guests who spoke it. He... more

We stayed for two nights with our two young sons and thoroughly enjoyed the falls and the riad. The staff arranged a guide and donkey for a hike through the hills to the falls, and this approach to the falls (as opposed to just wandering down from the riad) was really beautiful. The staff made us feel right at home... more

After the hustle and bustle of the towns this is a complete contrast of Moroccan life. Totally laid back and easy going it is perfect for a complete rest; you don't have to go on a vigourous trek to get the full appreciation of this wonderful location. if you're up for it. however, the opportunities for walking our fantastic, we... more

The Riad itself is about 20 meters from the top of the falls. Staying here gives you the added benefit of missing the heavy tourist crowds in the afternoons. The morning and evening here are simply surreal, and if you are lucky you will see the monkeys! The Riad is very cozy and the rooms are "rustic." We did have... more

A boutique concept draws its essence from a more personalised service. I guess the Michelin guide was using a euphemism when it advocated the same. What's more we were not lucky with the food served too. Our kids were offered the worst pasta ever, the tajine was substandard, to be politically correct. more

We stayed at the Cascades for one night in March - it was a great time although we arrived mid afternoon and had to leave early the next morning - the room was great - dinner was good - breakfast basic - hotel was very authentic in decor and staff where very friendly. We are going again later this year... more

The location was the reason we chose this place but as it turns out, we left loving the service, the rooms, the cleanliness and the food. We met some other nice travellers there too. This place gives you a homey feeling. In the evening, you can sit around the common areas and talk to people, have a drink. The service... more

Spent 3 great nights here and used it as a base to get to know the area (we hired a car in Marrakech which is only about 2 hours away). Patrick the French owner is an interesting character. He is clearly very interested in the local culture and actually lived with the berbers when building the riad. Lonely planet calls... more

Whilst the Cascades d'Ouzoud really are stunning, it is the Riad and its staff that makes a stay here so special. The bedrooms themselves are clean, comfortable and full of character and, for a small riad of only 6 or so rooms, guests have the choice of three wonderful 'public' areas including the sun-drenched roof terrace with a great view... more
