Julie Roggow helped us tremendously with planning our first trip to Kenya. She assured us we would have a great time and she was right! Tony, the Camp Manager looked after us very well, and could not have been more helpful, especially sending a tricky email from the Magic Tree! The Staff were all very helpful. Jonah and Julius did... No words can relay the feeling one gets when they visit a Porini Camp, all I can say is - “Just do it” I arrived at Nairobi Airport at 5am and was met by a person from Game watchers and for the next twelve days I just sat back and continued my unfinished journey from the previous years. Yes, this... More

We stayed at porini amboseli camp for 2 nights at the beginning of april. We had been waiting for this trip a long time and we were not at all disappointed, from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, Tony the camp manager was fantastic and all the staff really made us feel so welcome and special. We... More

We're now home for 3 weeks and I feel that we have digested most of what we've seen. We flew into Nairobi via Turkish airlines and arrived around 2 a.m. We were met by our GameWatcher driver and guide and taken to the Southern Sun hotel where we spent a restful night. After I had breakfast, we were off to... More

WE stayed at the Amboseli Porini Feb 20-22 for 2 nights and could not have been more pleased. From the ground transfer from Nairobi, to the gracious welcome at the Porini, nothing could have been done better. The tents were very comfortable and spacious, food was great and the guides -superlative. Chose Gamewatchers from doing research on TripAdvisor, Fodors website... More

In January we had our second journey to Kenya - Porini Camps. This year our 15-years-old daughter came with us. We reached the Camp after an 3 1/2 hours drive by car- this way of travelling is ok, of course a little bumpy, but you get used to this "African massage". Amboseli Camp was our first stop and we got... More

This time we stayed in the Mobile Sdventure Camp and in the absense of its own thread I am reviewing here. We wanted to try these camps as the price being a fair bit less than the main camps means we can visit more often. As people who do not go camping there were concerns............ but they did not need... More

Our group of 6 travelled from Australia, joining up with local family to celebrate a 50th birthday on new years eve. Tony and the team run a great camp. Eco friendly, with all you need to have a great experience. All the guides are locals and very knowledgeable. Game drives and star watching were expertly guided by our driver and... More

I totally agree with the recent excellent reviews. We spent 3 nights here and our Masaii guides, Jackson and Wilson, were very informative and great fun. They arranged the drives to suit our preferences and nothing was too much trouble. The visit to the associated Masai village was interesting, genuine and not at all 'touristy'. The camp was well laid... More

I totally agree with the recent excellent reviews. We spent Christmas here and our Masaii guide, Wilson, was very informative and funny! The visit to the Masaii village was truly interesting and felt very "un-touristic" and genuine. The animal spotting amazing - saw tons of elephants etc etc. Not to forget the excellent food! All in all an excellent choise!... More
