The food is great , service is awesome , the proprietor and his wife Prof & Mrs Nkinyangi are a down-to-earth couple , you would think they are employees at the place! Had a nice chat with both of them. They are globe trotters but they have invested back home. It is very inspiring.

We stayed in this camp as part of our 15 day Safari trip in Kenya. The camp was in our itinerary and we loved it. It was nice to be in a camp that has more of a personal and cozy feel than most of the other lodges we visited. We met and had a couple nice conversation with the... More

Stayed the weekend, lovely gateway and not difficult to get to. Susan and John took time to talk to us and made us feel very welcomed. And the staff are great, will definitely go back again. And the decor has a lot of personal touch to it too.

During our recent visit to Kenya, we stayed at the Ikweta Safari Camp. We found the camp on Trip Advisor and were very pleased with the reviews and what it had to offer. We were not disappointed; in fact it surpassed our expectations. The owners of the camp, Susan and John, have created such a beautiful oasis in the middle... More

We would like to thank you for the lovely stay we had at Ikweta. We enjoyed your hopitality and professionalism. The camp is wonderful, the food is excellent and fresh. The staff members friendly and attentive. We were happy that you had many suggestions for excursions in the area. Of course Meru National Park the highlight! The lovely walks in... More

As they say it,"high standards and great value for money", simply put..Ikweta Safari Camp is the best owner-operated camp in noth-eastern frontier of Meru National Park in Kenya. The place is wonderfully peaceful with wonderful friendly staff and excellent food. The tents are beautifully set out and fully equiped with attention to detail. I visited with 2 friends from Switzerland on a tour round mount Kenya staying at different places on the way and ikweta always got the best rating for accomodation and also food as we compared... In July 2014 we (2 Astrian adults and our 8 year old daughter) visited Meru and stayed 4 nights in Ikweta Safari Camp. The camp is situated about 2 km before you reach Murera gate and consists of 10 very spacious and clean tents only, which are nice decorated inside and have a private terrace in front of each tent.... My wife, Christi, and I stayed a few nights at Ikweta Safari Camp in June of 2014 with our ten-year old son and nineteen year-old nephew. The four of us truly enjoyed our time at Ikweta with Susan and John, along with their entire team. From Allan and his team at Reception, to Bwana Samuel and his team who carried... More

We stayed at Ikweta after our safari at Meru National Park. It was a great experience. Helpful and kind staff, one of the most delicious food I had in Kenya, nice swimming pool and what a lovely tent we had. Feels like an old fashion stay in a middle of savanna. If we have a chance, we will visit once... More
