Meru is a very different Park from the Masai Mara being quiet and beautiful, and I don't remember seeing any other vehicles during my stay. Much enjoyed my time at Offbeat Meru where I received a very warm welcome from Craig, the perfect host, his friendly, professional staff, and Frank the Reticulated Giraffe!! The food was excellent and well presented,... More

We had a fantastic 3 nights at this camp thanks to Craig and his team, but most especially because of Stanley, our guide. We were the only guests in camp which made it a very special and individual experience. The camp was great with fantastic sightings of wildlife whilst sitting in the mess e.g. kudu, monkeys, bushbuck, giraffe, elephants, waterbuck,... More

Meru was the first stop on my four camp safari in Kenya. The camp has a wonderful rustic feel from a bygone era. Craig and the team who run the camp are extremely friendly and cater for all your needs. I found them very friendly and approachable which is what you want when you are traveling on your own, the... One word to start with. Amazing!!!!! I would recommend one thing for anyone who would like to visit the place, one night is not enough to absorb the nature surrounding the camp. The food was great. Loved Meru camp and loved Meru area. Really great relaxed atmosphere at the camp the staff work well as a team all very attentive but without being over fussy. The tents again are very comfortable and clean but without being over stuffy. Our friends and us were lucky enough to have the camp to ourselves. Enjoyed every game drive with... More

We began a 9 day Kenyan safari staying at the Offbeat Meru Camp outside of Meru National Park in Kenya. Travelling were my husband and myself with our three kids, boys 12 and 10 and girl 6. The overall experience of the safari was fantastic, and highly recommended. Offbeat Meru Camp was an excellent place to stay. We were housed... More

Offbeat Meru was the perfect combination of bush and amenities for our group of 7 adults and 3 toddlers (July 2014). After a 6 hour drive from Nairobi we were super pleased with what we found at the end of our journey. The tents were great -- not over the top luxurious but had everything you could possibly need, were... More

If you want to experience luxury camping and listen to the wildlife as you are drifting off to sleep, Meru is ideal. I know the thought of getting up to go on a game drive at 6am when you're on holiday isn't everybody's cup of tea but you must do it, it is the best time of the day and... More

Offbeat Meru is amazing! It was my first stop in Kenya and I was on my own. I can't express how kind the staff, my guide Stanley, and the very charming manager, Craig Allen all were to me.
