Meru County Hotel is located on Kenyatta Highway 5 minutes drive from the city centre. This road is very busy, noisy and during rush hour there are traffic jams. It is NOT on the outskirts nor is it NEAR Meru National Park! But is is a cheap option if you have a car and don't mind driving to and from... More

I'm extremely surprised to see a review that the food made them sick. The Dinner we had was outstanding. Sure there could be a few improvements here and there like... More

The Meru County Hotel is a good hotel when in the context of rural Kenya. The odd superficial fault such as some showers not working should not overshadow the fact that the food is good, service is fine and the staff are well trained and polite. Our group appeared out of a dark and stormy night with 14 guests in... More

The Meru County is a close to the centre of Meru town. By rural Kenyan standards this is a reasonable choice for the traveller. The hotel is situated in its own grounds and offers a restaurant, outdoor garden restaurant and a bar. It is a four story block building in its own grounds surounded by a wall with security guards... We usually stay at the Blue Towers Hotel in Meru. we stayed at the Meru County Hotel this time. That place was BAD. The shower did not work, we had to lean under the faucet to get cleaned, and the bathroom was nasty. I would consider it a 1 star hotel. I would only go back to Blue Towers. I did... More

This hotel is the nicest hotel in Meru County Kenya. It's functional and provides clean sheets and towels. The rooms are in fair condition and provide a mosquito net over the bed for your protection. The staff is very accommodating and will make sure your needs are met.
